The basics of horror storytelling have had their doors blown off with this one. The suspenseful pace keeps you on your toes throughout - often making me reach for my cup of Tea for moral support - before braving a little bit more. There's been a lot of work put into the details, TS GAMES LLC clearly cares about what he is doing. This is atmospheric, psychological, cinematic horror which raises one question in the player. Why am I still in this house! Make sure, if you like this game and Ethel (the first in the series) - you carry on to try out "THE BUTLER". This is the third in the series and a spin-off (in-universe). I have just completed that game and the connections further solidify my opinion that TS GAMES LLC is a master story teller. Keep a close eye on this dev. He's going places!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!! The jump scares at the beginning were INSANE. LOVED THE STORY. LOVED THE ENDING EVEN MORE. GREAT GAME!! CANT WAIT FOR THE NEXTTT!! 11/10 PLAY THIS GAME YALL!!
Really really amazing game, I loved Ethel and I loved this one 100% gets the Monks approval, keep up the good work my friend and I will be looking to play your next game which is next in my horror games collection.
I encountered a problem with the game itself after finishing half of it; it asked me to start over. This game is garbage.
Great classic horror game . I will wait the next project 💪
I played the butler first and loved that game! Claire was incredible and I can't wait to play it again to get a different ending!
Avoid this game if you are playing on an AMD GPU—the performance is horrible. On top of the awful optimization, the game completely fails to recognize both my Xbox and DualSense controllers, despite explicitly claiming to have full controller support. EDIT: To clarify, the controller issue is definitely not a driver error on my end; both controllers work perfectly fine in every other game I play. Also, I initially thought the game forced a VHS visual filter with no option to disable it. However, since the developer confirmed there is no actual VHS filter, it seems to be a bug where a DLSS setting is incorrectly trying to run on AMD hardware. This results in heavy grain artifacts that look exactly like DLSS or FSR running at a very low resolution.
Claire is one of those horror games that clearly wants you to feel uncomfortable, and to be fair, it does a pretty damn good job of it. From the eerie visuals to the sad, spooky vibes, the game immediately lets you know that you’re not here to have a good time… emotionally, at least. The atmosphere is where Claire really shines. Everything feels gloomy, distorted, and just off enough to keep you on edge. The story slowly unravels as you explore, and if you’re the type who enjoys piecing together creepy narratives through environmental clues, Claire definitely has something for you. It’s heavy, it’s dark, and it’s not exactly a feel-good adventure. That said, while I genuinely enjoyed playing Claire, I wasn’t exactly screaming in fear the whole time. The game leans more psychological and subtle…lots of dread, fewer heart-attack, f%#! off moments. And personally, when it comes to scares, I have to give the edge to Ethel. Ethel had me constantly on edge, while Claire was more like a slow, ominous stare from across the room. Which isn't a bad thing! That doesn’t mean Claire isn’t good… it just means it’s scary in a “sit with your thoughts and feel uneasy” way rather than a “throw your mouse” way. If you like horror that messes with your head more than your blood pressure, this game will be right up your alley. The storytelling and atmosphere shine a LOT here. Final Thoughts: Claire is creepy, sad, and atmospheric in all the right ways. While I personally found Ethel scarier, Claire is still a solid horror game that’s worth checking out!
Solo Dev. A Year of work. What a damn fun time I had! If you are looking for more of a horror experience on pace with a movie this is the one! You should definitely play Ethel first! It may not have all the bells and whistles that Claire has BUT the story beats hit much harder throughout Claire if you have gotten both endings in Ethel. Both endings are easy to find and you can quickly continue from the last checkpoint to see both without replaying the entire experience. Visuals are amazing! My chat thought I was playing Resident Evil 7 when they first came by... That should tell you something. Audio is on point and tense at times. Realistic sounds really help you to immerse and terrify! Story is so crazy! Jaw dropped at one point... *Clap Clap Clap* iykyk... All in all I'm incredibly impressed and I was so happy to not only help support such a nice Dev but get scared as all heck along the way. Looking forward to The Butler!
