Blending exploration, puzzles, and psychological horror, Claire offers a terrifying new chapter filled with deeper narrative and haunting experiences.

Claire is the much improved sequel to the already excellent Ethel by TS Games. Going into this game, I did expect this one to be better, but I still underestimated how much improved this game is. You can really see the confidence that Tony has in this title. Where Ethel is a first time developer learning the ropes and creating a great foundation, Claire is the next step up. It's the developer really starting to showcase what he has learned over the course of the year plus it took him to make this. This one is much longer, well paced, and improves on the storytelling with some genuinely good voice acting. The scares are much improved as well. One was so bad that I lifted my mouse a foot and a half off of my desk and almost fell out of my chair. That is some of the highest praise I can give about a scare lol. There are times where you will dread what's coming next. As I said with my Ethel review, I cannot recommend this game and series enough. The developer is extremely talented and knows how to make a he*l of a good horror game. There are no cheap jump scares here, and the puzzles while not super straightforward are not impossible to solve either. They are all extremely well balanced. I cannot wait to dive into The Butler. I fully expect that one to be even better than Claire. Please support this developer!
I have played Ethel and now Claire. The moment I saw the connection was awesome. Loved the challenge and the puzzles to complete. Highly recommend. Definitely play Ethel first. I believe the Butler is next? I will be looking up all games from this developer
Played about 2 hours so far and you can really feel the love for classic psychological horror in this. It’s doesn't try to be loud or flashy it’s all about the atmosphere, tension, and that constant feeling of unease. You can feel the passion from the dev and their love for the genre. Movement was a bit fast for me at times but I get motion sick easily but I still persevered.. The game ran well on my system and I experienced no issues personally in my run through so far. Would I recommend the game, of course. It was a solid game and that kept me on the edge of my seat...which with my back problems isn't a good thing. But it was worth the back pain!
good story and jumpscares , good game overall
Having also played Ethel, this game is a chilling and beautiful successor. I highly recommend this game for the atmosphere and story. Even the jumpscares were cleverly placed and made sense to the context of the game.
Great job Anthony Russo !
I am MAD. I enjoyed Ethel and I was really enjoying Claire as well, the jump scares are on point and got me good. Unfortunately, there's some game-breaking bug where the statues fall right through the fireplace mantle and cannot be picked up so I hit R to reset to their original locations. Ruined the video playthrough I was recording, ran up my run time and I can't even proceed to finish the game. Tried over and over and they just fall. Right. Through. Let me know when you fix this. I guess I'll watch someone else playthrough it for the storyline as I fully intend to play The Butler. I bought that first without knowing it was a whole series so..yeah. Great game, except the bug.
