Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 28 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The characters are sooo cute! The difficulty is somewhat high, but if you're used to retro arcade style games you should be fine I think.

Citrouille: Sweet Witches is a colorful arcade-style platformer developed by Lumen Section and published by Plug In Digital that reimagines classic single-screen gameplay with a distinctive magical twist. At first glance, its vibrant art style and adorable witch protagonists suggest a lighthearted experience, but beneath that charming exterior lies a tightly designed challenge-driven game that rewards careful planning, precise execution, and mastery of unconventional mechanics. It is both a nostalgic tribute to retro arcade design and a modern reinterpretation that introduces its own unique identity. The central gameplay hook revolves around covering each level’s ground with flowers while avoiding or defeating enemies that patrol the platforms. Unlike traditional platformers, Citrouille removes the standard jump mechanic entirely. Instead, the witches summon magical ladders to traverse vertical space and reposition themselves strategically. This fundamental design choice immediately sets the game apart. Movement becomes a puzzle in itself, as players must think carefully about where to place ladders and how to use them efficiently to avoid threats. The absence of jumping forces a different mindset, emphasizing spatial awareness and tactical movement over reflex-based hopping. Each stage unfolds on a single-screen layout reminiscent of arcade classics, where enemy patterns and terrain configurations must be studied and memorized. The objective may seem straightforward—cover all designated ground areas with flowers—but achieving it safely becomes increasingly complex as levels introduce faster enemies, tighter platform arrangements, and environmental hazards. The handcrafted nature of the level design is evident; stages feel deliberately structured to test timing and positioning rather than relying on randomness. Success often comes after several failed attempts, but the game maintains a “tough but fair” philosophy that makes victories satisfying rather than frustrating. Progression spans multiple themed worlds, each introducing new enemy types and visual environments that add variety to the core formula. While the mechanical foundation remains consistent, subtle variations in stage design and hazard placement keep the experience engaging. The game gradually escalates difficulty, encouraging players to refine their understanding of ladder placement and enemy behavior. For those who enjoy mastering patterns and optimizing routes, the campaign provides a steady stream of increasingly demanding challenges. Multiplayer modes significantly enhance the game’s replay value. Local cooperative play allows two players to tackle the story mode together, sharing limited lives and coordinating their movements. This shared experience adds a layer of communication and teamwork, as both players must manage enemy positioning and ladder placement without interfering with one another’s strategies. The tension of sharing a life counter makes cooperative play both chaotic and exhilarating. Additionally, competitive versus modes support up to four players, transforming the flower-covering objective into a race or battle scenario. These modes inject unpredictability and social energy into the experience, making Citrouille equally suited for solo practice and group sessions. Visually, the game embraces a bright, cartoon-inspired aesthetic that enhances its whimsical tone. The witches are expressive and charmingly animated, while enemies range from cute to mischievous in design. Backgrounds are colorful without being distracting, ensuring clarity remains intact during fast-paced action. The overall art direction reinforces the lighthearted surface presentation, even as the gameplay beneath grows increasingly challenging. Complementing the visuals is an upbeat soundtrack that maintains energy without overwhelming concentration, striking a balance between playful atmosphere and focused gameplay. The game’s difficulty may not appeal to everyone. Its reliance on memorization and precise execution can be demanding, especially in later levels where enemy density increases and room for error narrows. However, this challenge is integral to its identity. Citrouille draws heavily from arcade traditions where repetition and skill refinement lead to mastery. Players willing to engage with its learning curve often find the experience deeply rewarding. Each cleared stage feels earned, and the sense of improvement over time is tangible. Overall, Citrouille: Sweet Witches stands out as a creative and thoughtfully constructed arcade platformer. By replacing jumping with magical ladder mechanics, it establishes a distinctive movement system that reshapes how players approach level navigation. Its combination of challenging single-screen design, cooperative and competitive multiplayer modes, and charming presentation results in a game that feels both retro-inspired and refreshingly original. For players seeking a skill-based platformer that values strategy and precision over spectacle, Citrouille delivers a sweet yet demanding experience that lingers long after the final flower is placed.
