Cirque du Soleil

New Negative review 12 Sept. 2024 = Tried it on my new Win 11 with Index system. Don't bother downloading, the program has been removed from the steam store. Missing data files and executives. Old positive review Cirque du Soleil is a free to play VR 360 video player for the Cirque du Soleil. It worked on my HTC Vive system, looked ok, played ok, sounded ok. You only get four free preview videos, but they are short high quality 360 video trailers. You have to buy the four full videos as DLC.

Disappointing that the video clips last almost less time than they take to load. This is just a glorified advert to make you buy the full clips. You have no idea how long or good the clips are, If you move your head off centre you may feel wierd as its a static camera shot with no room scale or any interaction at all. Although I do like Cirque Du Soleil, this is clearly a money making exercise for them, and they are giving the minimum they can. Good quality vide, content is great, loading times for the duration of the media is terrible,

awesome. wonderful. the feeling of immersion is amazing, it seems so real.

Сначала о технических моментах (на Vive). Во-первых, привью к бесплатной игре о котором пишут в отзывах, у меня не оказалось. Сразу предложили купить 4 DLC. Удалось отдельно купить их через сайт и отдельно запустить их загрузку, из меню в надетом шлеме. После чего на компе появился менеджер загрузок уже независимый от того, запущен ли вообще VR. Я боялась, что загрузка как раз займет отведенные на возврат 2 часа, но все ОК. Второе - это не пространство, а видео, смотрится чуть с искажениями. А так - контент уникальный, других вариантов нет, так что смотрим и наслаждаемся ) *** После просмотра - бомба!!! Вот единственно правильный способ смотреть представление - с центра сцены. Теперь в зал меня не затащить )

Al menos a mi me va fatal, en una GeForce 1060 de 3 MB. Además no es gratis, es una demo, si quieres la experiencia completa hay que pagar, y paso de pagar viendo como me va la demo.

So wicked cool!!!! now for the cons: I purchased via Steam the full experience set. After I downloaded them and went into Cirque it hung up during loading. Eventually I got a cds_portal.exe error. From posts and reseach I have seen I wasn't the only one. The bad side was there was no solution. I have one for you :) FYI, I am on Windows 10 1) Uninstall Cirque dur Soleil by right-clicking it in your games library and left-click on uninstall. 2) After uninstall is complete,, open Windows explorer and go to your Steam folder and delete the Crique du Soleil folder. 3) WARNING***DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING OR KNOWS SOMEONE THAT CAN HELP. CHANGING OR DELETING ITEMS IN THE NEXT PART WILL AFFECT YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM - MEANING REINSTALL AND LOSE EVERYTHING NOT BACKED UP!!! AGAIN DO NOT DO THIS UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED! 4) Open regedit (Windows key + R - type: regedit) 5) From the top most hive, select the root folder 6) Click on Edit->Find 7) Type in: cirque 8) Click Find 9) I recommend that before you delete all the keys containing "cirque" export them to a folder on your desktop in the event you can get into safe mode and retore the keys 10) delete anything with "cirque" in it. There are some folders that just contain info for cds_portal and others are just string keys in steam folders pointing to cds_portal. I didn't looks at each item I just knew what was safe to kill folder wise or if i should just remove the string value. Exporting before deleting helps insure you don't permanently delete anything that you might need. I wasn't cautious, but I wondered if I should have erred on the side of caution, usually I export. 11) Close Steam if you still have it open 12) Restart Steam 13) Download the free version of Cirque du Soleil again 14) Once it is done downloading, launch Cirque du Soleil 15) Ta-Da! It works (or at least it did for me at this point) 16) Now you will need to select each experience then select download full experience (I can't recall wording sorry) 17) Do this for each one. I did for all of them at the same time, I just clicked Hide so I could start downloading the next one. They all will be downloading in a queue that you can see on your monitor. I walked away for about 20 minutes and it was done downloading. I was then able to view the full experiences I paid for but until now could not launch. I hope this helps some others out there that were just as annoyed as me. Thanks!
