Before I played Chuck Meowrris, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
"Chuck Meowrris" is a badly made twin stick shooter that relied on a couple of poorly conceived gimmicks to differentiate it from the other garbage. None of these helped. The idea is that you don't get to choose which "class" or character you control, and you get dumped randomly into a level rather than any sensible progression or meaningful choices from the player. It's a novel idea, and also a bad idea, that lead to this being a spectacular failure on Steam Direct. What do you do in the game? Twin stick shooting. It's not even good twin stick shooting. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. On the topic of visuals, the weak looking 2D retro assets seem like they'd be more at home in a browser game or a mobile app. 3D graphics accelerators hit the mainstream of PC gaming in the mid 1990's with cards like the ATI Rage and Voodoo3D, there's no excuse for such poor 2D graphics in 2026. That alone is enough to disqualify this for recommendation. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. This game is fairly dated at 6 years old... and even back then it looked old and busted compared to contemporary, professionally made 3D games of the same period. It looked bad then, it looks worse now. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $4 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. Even as a free product, this couldn't find an audience. With a peak of only 2 users, it's clear the Steam community took one look and walked away. They literally couldn't pay people to spend time with this. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a hard pass. There's no immediate financial commitment, but there are thousands of more compelling games on the platform that will give you a lot more enjoyment for your time.

This game is awesome! I love the simple, yet entertaining graphics and the music is super catchy. The sound effects of the cat noises crack me up! Even the subtle, dry yet witty dialogue adds to the games charm. It is evident that this game had lots of heart and soul put into it! If you like cats (or even if you don't) do yourself a favor and buy this game.
