this game wasn't as good as the first. The people were creepy when they were talking.

This is "Hints the Game" Christmas edition. I used that little Hint snowman so much. The leaps of logic in the puzzles, along with the tiny hit boxes on objects makes for a very frustrating game. One of the hidden object puzzle objectives is out of order; it says to tie a tie, but it's really breaking a key out of an ice block, and then the last objective is to tie the tie. Hint the Snowman helped me figure that one out. At least I got to ride out on a time and space altering horse.

As a lot of reviews have mentioned, the art is beautiful and the story is kind of cute (religious themes and context excluded,) but the direction/gameplay of the game is difficult to follow, either because of missing context clues or visual cues. I highly recommend playing "Christmas Adventure: Candy Storm" before this one because it gives you a better sense of how to play this game. I liked this game, but only because I liked the previous one and I felt this one was a good spiritual successor. Playing on anything other than easy mode in this game is not recommended because of the visual cue difficulties.

Das Spiel stimmt einen gut in die Weihnachtszeit ein. Die HO und auch die Rätsel sind ok und machen Spaß zu spielen. Insgesamt gibt es viele zu entdecken uns Aufgaben zu erledigen. Im Angebot gekauft ist es eine gute Wahl. 8/10

Die Wimmelbilder wiederholen sich durchgehend und die einzige Challenge ist die englische Übersetzung. Kaum Minigames und Spaß machen sie auch nicht. Leider insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Wir waren froh, als es vorbei war. Last achievement best achievement.

I had. No idea of the internal logic of this game. No idea of what it wanted me to do at /any/ section, and was clinging onto the Hint Button for dear life.

Eh didn't really enjoy this HOG. The puzzles were too cryptic to the point where it was frustrating. Had to use a guide to figure out which items to use on what things. And once you got to the actual hidden object scenes, they were so easy you finished then in 10 seconds. On top of this, the story was bad and uninteresting. There are better xmas HOG out there. Avoid this one.

Es ist ein Wimmelbild-Adventure, das Weihnachten und den Geist der Weihnacht zum Thema hat. NOTE: Ich hab das Spiel nach dem großen Update gespielt und kann daher nicht viel zu möglichen Fehlern sagen, die es vorher gab. Die Story ist simpel: Wir spielen einen Schriftsteller, der offensichtlich seinen Geist der Weihnacht verloren hat und nun in eine magische Welt gerät, um ihn wiederzufinden. Wie bei den meisten Wimmelbildspielen stehen die Story und das Erzählen nicht im Vordergrund. Grafisch ist das Spiel top! Sehr schöne, nicht allzu kitschige weihnachtliche Szenerien. Insgesamt sind es nicht sehr viele verschiedene Gebiete, die man besuchen kann, aber es passte alles stimmig zusammen. Die Rätsel bzw. die Dinge, die man macht, um voranzukommen (Items sammeln und an den richtigen Stellen verwenden), haben´s teilweise in sich. Wimmelbildspiele haben ja selten einen hohen Schwierigkeitsgrad, aber dieses hier hat mich stellenweise gefordert. Ich war auf den netten Walkthrough aus den Steam-Guides das ein ums andere Mal angewiesen. Versteht mich nicht falsch: Es ist in den meisten Fällen möglich, auf die Lösungen selbst zu kommen, aber teilweise muss man die Szenen wirklich genau untersuchen, um überhaupt alles zu finden (ich meine nicht Pixeljagd, sondern das Bemerken von interaktiven Bereichen). Aber gut, es ist durch und durch WImmelbild, nicht wahr? Und von Logik ist das Spiel auch nicht durchdrungen, das macht es umso kniffliger. Für mich war es mehr wie ein Escape Room-Spiel mit lauer Story und einigen WImmelbildszenen, aber nicht den logischsten Puzzles... Ich finde das Spiel gelungen und empfehle es gerne weiter!

This is simply one of the worst HOGs and worst designed games I have ever played. Each hidden object puzzle begins with a series of required items you must find before getting to the main HOG, which is frustrating by itself, but the descriptions are vague, badly translated, or plain misleading and wrong. The complete leaps of logic and random guessing would almost be tolerable if there was not a misclick penalty that does not cool down no matter how long you wait. The scenes are not connected sensibly in any way, with multiple zones selectable near the beginning of the game that you do not getting the required item until near the end. With no map, there is no way to make any sense of what you are supposed to do next. Despite hundreds of hours of HOG experience, I have never clicked the hint button so many times - and I usually avoid all hints. I appreciate a game that makes you think, not a game that forces you to click randomly until you stumble upon the solution. Even if the story wasn't utterly bland and nonsensical, I could not possibly recommend this train wreck of a game.
