Chivalry 2

This is decent brainless fun. Unfortunately I have nothing else positive to say about Chivalry 2. Torn Banner is quite the hostile mess, not only to their most loyal supporters, but also to their own staff. After abandoning Chivalry 1, their players and their staff. Torn Banner pretty much lazily remakes Chivalry 1, without the depth and the funny bits that made it special, and slaps the number 2 on it. Chivalry 1 was glorious and Mordhau is its real successor, with even more depth, skill expression and funzies. If you want a real medieval melee game, made by real Chivalry 1 fans, with substance and heart; Play Mordhau instead of this sloppy cashgrab.

The community is full of racist idiots

If you had asked me what I thought of the game one or two months ago, I'd say it's incredibly fun. Unique mechanics and play styles, getting to counter the enemy attacks in different ways, the way all weapons are balanced, really cool game to come back to. However, over the coming weeks, for whatever reason, cheaters have been coming into every match in the game, vanishing the players' weapons, disabling their attack function, and speedblitzing us in one shot. And on top of this, as if it wasn't horrid enough, the mods for the game are doing ♥♥♥♥ all to address this, despite the various reports, obvious hacking evidence, and declining review score. I hate to say this, but I genuinely think that Torn Banner doesn't care anymore about this game. They've abandoned all pretense and are focusing their efforts elsewhere. Had to write a review to share my immeasurable frustration with an otherwise fun game. Don't buy this at this stage, wait until you see the user review scores go up, cause at this point the mods shouldn't be trusted.

A dynamic and exciting multiplayer game that immerses you in the atmosphere of medieval battles. Despite the frequent mention of cheaters in reviews, I encountered this issue only twice in over 30 hours of gameplay, which was a pleasant surprise. The maps in the game are impressive in their beauty and detail, creating a sense of a real battleground, from open fields to the narrow streets of medieval cities. The musical accompaniment is also top-notch, perfectly complementing the atmosphere and immersing you in the era of knights and castles. The game offers a rich selection of equipment modes, maps, and modes: which makes each match unique. Each mode has its own specific features and strategy requirements, which adds to the game's appeal. Unfortunately, playing from Russia is only possible with the help of VPN or other similar services, as the developers have disabled Russian servers. This significantly complicates the login process and occasionally hinders the enjoyment of the game's gameplay and other features.

New maps are also being added through updates. [*]The most enjoyable part of the game for me is attacking or defending while working together with my team. Most of the time, I end up with a terrible team though. But sometimes, you get matched with a really good team, and a great battle unfolds. The game captures the feeling of large-scale conflict and teamwork very well, and being part of it feels great. [*]I also like the impact and weight of the combat. The sounds are decent, and some tracks can really get you fired up during a battle. [*]There are three main factions, each with its own distinctive and appealing style. The character customization menu is a bit confusing and may be difficult for new players to understand. [*]The optimization could be better, as there are FPS drops on certain maps, especially some of the newer ones. Also, despite having played for 65 hours, I still have not figured out how to properly control the catapult. The controls are unnecessarily difficult to understand. [*]I would like to suggest that Chivalry 2 really needs a ranked mode. A proper competitive ranking system would give players more motivation to improve and keep playing. [*]It would be great to add a celebration animation or a short sequence for the MVP players at the end of each match. Definitely worth buying [u]when it’s on sale[/u]. DO NOT BUY There is a problem with hackers. The guys that fly across the map and 1 shot everyone is annoying, but the real problem is that theres a known ddoser that gets vote kicked on immediate entry into the server. 20+ votes immediately isn't enough to kick him so server crashes. it crashes on a consistent basis, all day/night, for as long as i've seen and for weeks before i started playing according to other players. I wondered why the same guy hasn't received a ban from the game, so I joined the discord to report him specifically and when i did --- I GOT BANNED FROM THE DISCORD --- for simply reporting the literal known hacker that has effectively destroyed all of the east asia servers. the lost support for this game makes it almost unplayable going into a 64 player room you are bound to run into cheaters but in this game they dont even try to hide it. sad to see.
