This isn't really an *active* game that you *play*, this is a software that lets you *gamify* studying or working or whatever you may need a body double for. That being said, It is phenomenal for what it does. The sounds in this game are satisfying, customizable and I don't get tired hearing them loop for the hours I'm working. I mainly use Spirit City Lofi Sessions as my body double game, but sometimes I just need Satone's relaxing vibes. You can import your own music in this game. I have a music folder made just for this game and games like it and the process of uploading music is soooo simple. I made sure to keep my music selection small so I'm unsure if there would be a cap on the amount of music you can upload. You can change the individual sounds and ambience, you can unlock more ambience and it isn't demanding on the computer if you decide you want to listen to music on a browser alongside the ambience of the game. I enjoy the little story elements in the game. You can opt to skip the story if you genuinely don't care but sometimes my interest fluctuates. I want to learn more about my virtual companion. Why is she studying? What does she like? She has actual development through her dialogue, actions, and preferences that shine through the screen. It isn't super in depth, but it doesn't have to be. At the end of the day, we're just here to study together. My cons about this game: The graphics are beautiful however sometimes they can just be a bit too much. I love to set my scenes and customize the sky and what's in the study area but sometimes the ambient effects are too much. Which is unfortunate. For example, my favorite sound is the wind chimes. I listen to them all the time. I always keep the visual off. Sometimes I forget what the visual looks like and I turn it on again and I'm reminded why I'm overwhelmed. They move too fast, they're too bright and I don't have a way to adjust how flashy they are, not even with volume control. I would enjoy it even if I just got an alternate toggle somewhere that freezes the images when I don't want movement. Or something of that sort The base music is nice I just wish there were more originals for this game. I've started relying on body double games for good lofi and finding new artists. I'm sure this may be fixed in the future if they decide to continue with collabs or if they decide to release a music DLC but I would just love to hear more original options or even partnerships with Lofi creators to get their names out there. Other than some nitpicks though I can't really say anything necessarily 'bad' about this game. The lists aren't overwhelming, they offer this game on mobile (I don't know if they have cross progression) so you can bring your lists with you and it even has a calendar. Its mainly used for its Pomodoro timer but even then it's optional and there are options for reducing UI Clutter entirely. Is $12.00 a fair price? That's up for you to decide. I think: I'm happy I spent that 12 dollars. I may have even gotten this game on a sale. $12 for a tool like this may feel hefty for some people, to which I say they do frequent sales and the current sale is selling the game closer to $9-10 (usd) which I think is a price you can't go wrong with. Two hours is more than enough time to figure out if you like this game, so in the end it's at least worth a shot!
