Chezzle is a minimalist free browser game that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab. It's a basic browser game that looks and feels like a mobile app (but apparently was never accepted by Apple or Google as they maintain quality control). It's a minimalist "Chess" themed puzzle that has little to no bearing on Chess, it's a pathing/placement game where you move pieces (in ways completely unlike Chess, for example, all pieces can jump over other pieces like Knights... they never played Chess before making this browser game, evidently).
From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.
There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.
This is a browser game. And we all know, Steam isn't here to compete with Chrome and Firefox. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. If the game can be done in a web browser, it's just not rich or compelling enough to appeal to serious gamers.
Arrogantly, the developers demand you should find a way to plug headphones into your gaming PC to experience the craptastic audio they shovelled into this terrible game. I run a 9.2 surround sound system for my gaming rig, I'm not interested in downgrading just because the developers demand I experience the game in a compromised manner. Developers must never dictate to gamers how a game should be consumed, it's their JOB to ensure a game is experienced well on any gaming rig. Failure to do this is a failure on their part, and not the gamers.
These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.
Unethically, the developers are trying to charge money on Steam for a game that they give away for free in a web browser. This is a deliberate attempt to gouge Steam gamers for a free product, and shows particular scorn and disrespect for Steam gamers for this lousy browser game. To double down on this unethical attempt to dupe gamers into paying for something available for free, they also dumped this into cheap nasty game bundles as a further cash grab/scam attempt, misleading both gamers and the bundle sellers. Just who do they think we are?
The mobile/browser trash tier quality of this shovelware, plus the unethical nature of the developer trying to scam Steam gamers into paying for a free game makes this impossible to recommend.

The developer has weighed in to inform everyone they didn't read the [url=https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/reviews]Developer Usage Rules[/url] for Steam "partners", or they deliberately ignored the part where Valve says:

The developer admits they're trying to scam Steam gamers into paying money for a free browser game. An absolutely unacceptable insult to PC gamers right off the bat. Just who do they think we are?
The developer admits the game does not meet basic minimum standards for a PC game. They demand that their game is so excellent that it will correctly map to your native resolution in all cases (it won't). This is simply an admission of incompetence from a developer that doesn't even know how to do 3D graphics (hence this 2D browser garbage they're polluting Steam with). That makes their attempt to scam PC gamers into paying for a free game even more nefarious.
The developer seems to think they know more about your gaming rig than you do, and thus it's okay for them to dictate how you should play their game. This is yet another unacceptable insult to PC gamers.
The developer provides flimsy and unacceptable explanations for their unethical behaviour, but this absolutely does not excuse it.
Nothing in the developers pointless, self incriminating response changes any of the objective facts about this inferior product or their unethical behaviour. My review stands unaltered. Avoid this at all costs.
