Look Ma! I did it! First review! :D Jokes aside, this game is a really charming and fun little adventure. I found myself chuckling quite often at the jokes sprinkled into the story and the music is great. The actual gameplay isn't so easy that you can get it done in one go, but isn't so hard that you struggle and get frustrated for hours (on the normal difficulty at least). It was hard to stop playing because I kept wanting to advance the story and see what would happen to Ball next. There is also obviously a lot of care and polish put into the game, from the sound effects to the visuals. Overall just a fantastic game to play when you want to chill and play something a bit lowkey - absolutely worth the $5. Awesome job from a budding studio! I'm excited to see what you work on next. <3
Absolute peak cinema. Quadro the GOAT. Can't wait for Balls is Life 2 with checkpoints so that I don't km
Genuinely surprised at just how much I ended up enjoying this game. The gameplay itself was a challenge for me to get through, as I am horrible at platformers, but I found it really rewarding as I passed each level. The story is funny and endearing, and oddly enough I developed a fondness for the characters as I progressed. These balls really do be doing their best. I loved the concept and artstyle through and through, and found myself humming along to the music as I brain empty no thoughts bounced through the world. I'm glad to have played it!
Ball is Life is the perfect mix of unforgiving, infuriating, rewarding and funny (getting over it/jump king vibes), and I was surprised to find myself laughing and chuckling along through what turned out to be a well thought-out story. A lovely experience and journey, that ultimately opened up for reflection and left me feeling like I had learned a bit more about myself. Congratulations on releasing your first game. It is evident that a lot of love and thought was put into every aspect of it, and I am grateful and lucky I got to watch it take form from start to finish.
Lets start with the basics ~ 1. The artwork is fantastic. It brings me back to my childhood where I would spend my free time colouring trying desperately to stay in the lines. 2. The narration is really funny if the kid inside your heart hasn't been smothered to death yet. Classic puns, super shower thoughts with just a dash of dad humour. Perfection. Some people might not like the reading, but it really ties things together. Overall the narration and text actually made me LOL a ton 3. The controls. Fairly straight forward. Left click to charge a jump, release to jump. Some special tricks to be announced as you proceed. 4. Playing the game on Baller mode, since there really is no point in playing a platformer on anything BUT the highest of settings makes the game a good balance between frustrating failures and determined victories. I find myself living vicariously through ball and being determined to beat every challenge just to sow the game I'm better than it! Overall if you are looking for a fun, good looking and stress free game to unwind after your busy day at work give this a go. I'd give this a solid 7 swooshes. To conclude. Having had the pleasure of playing this game in it's pre-alpha "this is a semi fun idea I had" phase, which was a wire mesh compared to what it is now, I can honestly say it is amazing to see the progress made in only a few months. I know a lot of love went into this and it shows. Do your self a favour and give it a shot. well worth the price tag

I love my girlfriend who gifted me this shes the best.
It’s a really fun game. While the plot ideas and its message may seem a bit cliché at first glance, they still leave a positive impression. MC is funny and relatable. The gameplay is moderately challenging, and the music is pleasant. The only downside is that the game lacked sound effects for the ball jumping from the ground and mid-air. But overall, the experience is very enjoyable - if you usually don’t get too frustrated by the gameplay, the game easily puts you in a good lighthearted mood. Love this game. Wish you good luck with your future projects, developer)
