Nice idea, but it feels like playing an alpha version of the game. I don't normally complain about graphics, but it all seems pretty unfinished. I hope that it only looks like this temporarily and that the cells and surroundings will get more detail later (especially in stage one). One playthrough is way too short. I played it only 2 Hours and I'm through. You reach OP status too quickly and don't even need your buddies to fight on the journey. The HUD also needs an overhaul and please pause the game when the tutorial pop-up opens (I got attacked while reading). The cell-maker needs a mirroring feature to make the cells more symmetrical (with an on/off option like the snapping tool). And I think you shouldn't be able to shoot your own species and buildings, but I think that's a personal preference. I've severe frame drops in the protein wars/deathmatches (10-20fps). I've a RX 6700XT OC GPU, R9 3900X CPU and 32GB RAM. If that helps fixing the issue. The game mode is also pointless at the moment because you can easily win the game without it (I played it after finishing the game). In Short: It feels even too early for the Early Access. It remembered me of Spore and felt like an early version of it.
My only complaint would be that it's criminally short!! I loved this game, but finished it in an hour. I eagerly await new additions and updates, should there be any. Very well done!! Well worth my time. It was so visually appealing, and the music was so relaxing. I got lost in it. Everything Spore's cell stage wished it was.
Quite an interesting game. I took it yesterday for 250 rubles and the game fully justifies this cost. The game is definitely for an amateur. Convenient and intuitive interface, nice graphics and a good soundtrack that does not let you get bored. In addition, you get cards, so I advise. to purchase. 8 potatoes / 10
I like it, it reminds me of the game spore
Great game for killing time. I don’t feel sorry for the money for such a game, I really liked it, I will wait for the game to come out of early access.
Cellings is a creative sandbox game set in an abstract procedural world full of different kinds. The mechanics of this game are pretty cool, it reminded me of the Spore game, only in a modern shell. The recently released patch was able to improve the game, and it's really great that the developers are still working on the project. I recommend to familiarize yourself with this game.
hello reader, Actually an interesting concept, well-organized gameplay, I can't wait to see what the next updates will bring, I advise everyone to play this divine game.
Cellings is a creative sandbox game where you can create your own cells and compete against other species in an abstract procedurally generated world. The game is inspired by the classic Spore, but has its own unique style and mechanics. Pros: - Interesting and colorful world. The game is visually striking, which creates a sense of immersion in a microcosm. The world is filled with a variety of species, resources, and events that make you explore it with curiosity. - Flexible and creative cell editor. The game allows you to create your own cells with different parts that affect their characteristics and behavior. You can experiment with different combinations and colors, and share your creations with other players via Steam Workshop. - Diverse game modes. The game offers three game modes: Journey, Dimensions, and Cell Editor. In Journey, you go through the full evolution of cells over three generations, adapting to different environments and interacting with other species. In Dimensions, you fight other cells in three arenas: Deathmatch, Duels, and Protein Wars. In Cell Editor, you can freely create and test your cells. Cons: - Unfinished and unstable gameplay. The game is in early access and has many bugs and issues that prevent you from enjoying the game. Some of them are: poor optimization, crashing, bugs with physics and AI, low online, lack of balance and progression, boring and repetitive gameplay. - Lack of content and feedback. The game has little content and feedback to keep players interested and motivated. For example, Journey has no clear goal or storyline, Dimensions has no rankings or rewards, Cell Editor has no tutorials or hints. Also the game has little community involvement in development and does not take their wishes and suggestions into account.
Highest quality, but my creature still moves about as if each part is individually teleporting (during first stage, I'm essentially locked to a grid). At lowest quality, my FPS is still stuttering heavily and the game is essentially unplayable by the third stage (which is still in 2.5D). My GPU may be old and there's a bit to simulate, but the Spore level of detail really doesn't warrant this. Somehow, From the Depths runs better than this. FYI, I'm using Proton to play the game.
