A game that never gets boring! Feel like a defenseless cell that must survive in a changing world. Walk the path of evolution from simple to complex.
It's no secret that Cellings is heavily based on the cell sequence from Spore. But that's what makes it such a cozy experience. It's a fun little time-waster that feels like its own game. But what I like most is that it celebrates its inspiration, and if you enjoyed the early stages of Spore, then you'll have a very similar experience here. What makes Cellings so fun is that the devs took more than just the cell stage from the release version of Spore (I'll get to that in a bit). Along with the same type and amount of customization from Spore, the game also changes the further you progress. You start as a blob, whose goal is to eat whatever it can to grow. When you evolve, you're given an intricate customization menu where you can design and evolve your blob further, by adding combat capabilities - or, interestingly, beautifications to make them charming to other cells. You can rotate your cell, add new parts (including appendages), and build and optimize them for your intended playstyle. Immediately, you might be thinking about the creature/tribe sequences from Spore, and that is exactly what it is. From the customization menu, you're thrown back into the world. You leave your culture/nest/homebase(?) to either attack and consume other cell forms, or mine and present them gifts in the form of rarer elements found in the world. Once you've got enough evolution points to move onto sequence three, the game starts giving you base building options. At this point in the game's lifespan, only a few of them are worth getting (if you're playing a pacifist route); unless you provoke other cell forms, you wont need towers to defend yourself. At this point, you'll need proteins to keep evolving and unlocking customizations and even forms for your own cells. This is where the game's 3rd person shooting gamemodes come in to play. By entering the arena in your map, you can compete against other cell forms for proteins. Although a bit laggy and possibly in need of some balancing (teleporting enemies and weak attacks if you don't invest heavily into damage during the customization), this is extraordinarily trippy but stupidly fun, and deserves to be its own game mode in Cellings. In short, Cellings may borrow heavily from Spore, but it's a stupid kind of fun that, through a unique hybrid of gameplay mechanics and designs, is a neat time waster. I hope to see it evolve and worked on.

Cellings is all in all a quirky, colorful, original sandbox game set in an abstract world full of different species. Experience the full evolution of cells over 3 generations, compete with other species and explore breathtaking worlds.
We are immersed in a new, abstract, world in which we create your own, unique, cage, to fight and survive. The game is well implemented by the editor of your "character", huge opportunities to stop, as well as a choice - how you will felt, fight or hide from strong. Play with a huge and good potential for the future.
Nice game! I like this mechanics of evolution. Its seem like lite version of Spore. You can build any cind of cell and make your cell better than after! Various of species is only a good side of the game. Recommended!

The game is very similar to Spore, only if in Spore there was an evolution into a rational being, then the emphasis is on the evolution of microbes and nothing more.
I didn't expect it to be so cool. The professionals did a great job. I'm happy with everything.
