I played Cefore in the first Alpha release on steam back in september, and I have to say its still a fun game. There's a lot more improved in the early access release and with passionate devs that are quick to make fixes I most certainly see myself playing this more and more as more updates come out. As previously mentioned it's in early access and for that reason I spend a majority of my time trying to find funny bugs, glitches and exploits to send to the devs via the super active Discord. Of course devs are more then happy to help and laugh alongside you when it comes to these such things. Gameplay is straight forward and has a very rewarding feeling when you've completed a level, which is extra rewarding when a level is beat in a not so typical way. The progression system presents with you very cute introductions to mechanics of the game, so as to say it has very nice level pacing. The sandbox creates a great oppurtunity to be highlighted for your creative structures, as you can turn the last 10 seconds into a gif to be displayed on the main menu, not just to yourself but everyone looking at the main menu. Not to mention it's pretty fun to just mess around in. TL;DR its a good game, it's in alpha, you can have fun with devs. p.s. you can get a hat of your own choosing added to the game, i.e. thread with the hat I requested

Excellent little physics puzzler game. I got this before it was available on Steam, so my play time is not true representation. I love it. In all honesty though i cant play it for hours at a time, i will play it for an hour, come back to it later, play for another hour. Sandbox mode is a huge addition (even though it is in Alpha atm) However the thing that has impressed me the most about this is the availability and attitude of the tiny dev team (was two, now three i believe) They are very active on thier Discord channel. They listen to ideas, want to know about bugs, engage constantly, friendly and chatty...... all the while still developing the game! Excellent, highly recommended.

Thank you in advance
French Review (English review is at the bottom)

Vue d'ensemble
Conclusion
English Review

Overview
Welcome to Cefore, a little independent puzzle game, Your goal here will be to be the world's greatest and most skillful destroyer. You're going to have to battle your way through all these different puzzles to get those damn little cubes back through the levels. The environment is 90% destructible, so there won't be enough c4 for you, aha! You will of course be equipped with several tools such as explosives (lots of explosives!), grapples and other tools to manipulate and destroy your surroundings to retrieve the cubes. ✅Positive points✅ *Possibility to customize your character (hats, joysticks, thrusters) with the money earned at the end of each level, * Beautiful graphic paste, original design, * Slow down time and go backwards, which is useful if you forget C4 under your feet * * About 30 different levels in two universes, * Good grip and easily understandable, * Create in-game gifs and share them, * You will also find many levels created by the community (level editor). ❌Negative points❌ * No possibility to change the game keys, you have to play with the keyboard in QWERTY mode, * Quite repetitive. * Some bugs present like the cursor that sometimes disappears for no reason.
Conclusion
All in all, despite these small imperfections and for its price it's an excellent puzzle game. It's a game that requires to be creative and a bit of engineering on the edges in some levels. You can spend a few hours or ten or twenty hours if you take part in the game to the creation of levels.
Cool game. I am a big fan of puzzles and this game had some really good ones! i recommend this game fo sure!
Cefore is a physics puzzle game where you employ a number of different tools (like explosives) to blow up blocks in just the right way that you can collect "data" by harvesting the glowing blue blocks. There's a bit of asset re-use, most of the game assets are "borrowed" from the Kubikos 3D Cube World asset (sure hope the developer credited Kubikos for doing most of the work here). There's some game design here, some clever levels, and also a community level feature, which never caught on because, well, the game itself never caught on. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. The game is 6 years old but still feels incomplete, problematically. It's good that the game has community content but developers must learn that they are the ones responsible for creating the content in their games. Trying to use other players, or endless samey procgen is not good enough. The game features low-polygon "retro" assets with cartoony, mobile app style shader effects, making this look like a barely functional mobile app from 15 years ago. This visual style is a method that lazy devs often use when they have a lack of interest/capabilty to create highly detailed, high poly models and instead use shader effects to disguise that shortcoming under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It's far below the state of the art visuals gamers expect as a result of their decisions. This is almost indistinguishable from a mobile app, but they put this on Steam instead of the app stores by mistake. Was it rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all)?. Regardless, for all intents and purposes Cefore might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 12 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Cefore has the almost scam-like price of $10 USD, for which you could easily get any number of older AAA games. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. For comparison, the $10 asking price for this game could get you games like "Hearts of Iron IV", "Dishonored 2" or "Rust". Quality, professionally made games like those are frequently on sale cheaper than this.
First saw this game at PAX South, picked it up and I love it, they are working on more content and I cannot wait!

Very fun, I really enjoy how each puzzle has a different solution rather than one as most puzzlers. Really excited for the full release. :)
a fun game with a lot of customazation options for helmet, remote and jetpak
