Well worth playing if you're a fan of the 3D Platformer genre. The puzzles are cryptic at times, and the controls and sound design occasionally feel unpolished, but the levels were fun and I quite like the character designs. Was expecting a kinda corny cutesy-colorful experience, but there were certainly some more interesting things going on, and the game was actually very unsettling at several points. The gimmicks were interesting, and even if cryptic I did enjoy most of the puzzles. Probably worth waiting for a sale, since it does lean more towards the short-and-sweet amount of content, but on sale it's good value. Overall, 8/10, fun game.

A cute N64 styled platformer about a dragon saving its sibling eggs from a bat with an attitude. It reminds me of banjo kazooie mixed with spyro but compressed down into a small hub world and 4 levels. The "save your friends" story was simple and charming enough for a short platformer game, and the lore you pick up about the other characters and the world added some extra depth to make it interesting. I liked the chosen themes of the levels (world 3 is my favorite), and the abilities were satisfying. I thought I might dislike the lack of HP and combat, but it works for the scope of the game. My biggest complaint is that sometimes I would incorrectly read into (or entirely miss) what the game wanted from me. It could just be me, but it felt like the game could have done a better job at directing the player. Puzzles are fun, and i'm not asking to have my hand held, but sometimes it felt less satisfying and more relieving to solve a puzzle because it was so obtuse with the information or lack thereof that was provided to me. Also (spoiler) [spoiler]getting the fly ability is really cool as a reward for getting all the eggs, but it probably should have been given to the player after the final boss because it trivializes the entire fight.[/spoiler] If you loved the N64, particularly banjo kazooie, then this game is worth playing in my opinion. A fun little, short platformer collectathon. Did a great job at emulating the style it's going for (it was fun to enter some areas & go "hey! I know what this place is supposed to be!") with the controls still feeling really smooth & responsive. Actual playthrough difficulty was nice & casual, and being encouraged to get all collectables in an area without going back for upgrades was a nice way to handle adding a bit of challenge &/or puzzle outside of just making things arbitrarily more difficult, though Pit of Despair suddenly being the one zone where you're suddenly strapped to an undisclosed time limit (rather than expecting to have to find a way to recoup air) made it feel randomly harder than the other two "extra" zones. The postgame exploration & challenges were a fun way to have a reason to go back to the varous areas you've visited before, even if I may have accidentally hit credits early as a result. Only main gripe I have is that the options were kind of lacking, namely the inability to rebind controls, but that's more of a problem I have with my personal setup than anything. In conclusion, if you're interested in checking out a casual little platformer, then I'd definitely say this game's worth nabbing!
I was feeling nostalgic for Donkey Kong 64 and wanted to play a 3D collectathon. This had been on my wishlist for a while, and it was on sale, so I picked it up. It was exactly what I was hoping it would be! It's definitely on the short side, but I had a lot of fun. There are 40 of the main collectables- eggs, most of which require completing a brief platforming, minigame, or puzzle challenge to get. I don't think there was any egg that I thought was annoying or unfun to get (maybe there was, but nothing bad enough to sully my experience). There are two other kinds of collectables: mushrooms which are abundant, and pages which are often hidden in obscure places- encouraging exploration. So yeah, its an easy recommendation, provided you go in with the expectation that this is a short n' sweet game.

A short and simple but very fun and satisfying little platformer, with lots of charm, enjoyed every moment of it. Only negatives really are, as i said, very short, and also doesn't offer much in terms of difficulty, but if you can overlook that it's an overall really good time. Hoping to see if it gets expanded upon somewhat in a new bigger game.
