Catjinni Survivors

Ich habe Catjinni Survivors schon etwa vier Wochen vor dem offiziellen Release bekommen und durfte es zeigen, wann ich möchte. Leider hat es zeitlich nicht früher geklappt, deshalb habe ich es erst am Release‑Tag auf YouTube vorgestellt. Da ich neben meinem Kanal nicht beruflich viel anderes mache, bin ich dauerhaft mit Content beschäftigt – aber genau das liebe ich. Ich habe schon einmal ein ähnliches Spiel in Flat gezeigt (ACHILLES: SURVIVOR) und mich damals sofort in das Spielprinzip verliebt. Catjinni Survivors geht in die gleiche Richtung – nur diesmal auch in VR. MIAU! Und das ist wirklich richtig cool. Die Grafik ist nicht die beste, aber für einen einzelnen Entwickler: Hut ab! Der Preis ist ebenfalls absolut fair – unter 10 Euro. Ich brauchte ungefähr vier Anläufe, bis ich für mich gesagt habe: „Okay, das ist eigentlich richtig gut und macht echt Spaß!“ Man kann es in VR spielen oder klassisch am Monitor – beides funktioniert. Zu Beginn habt ihr nur eine Katze zur Auswahl. Die anderen müsst ihr euch erspielen – zum Beispiel kostet eine Katze 1000 Taler, die anderen entsprechend mehr. Echtgeld-Käufe gibt es nicht, was ich persönlich super finde. Alles wird erspielt, nichts wird gekauft. Ich hatte dem Entwickler vorgeschlagen, dass man vielleicht alle paar Tage eine kleine Belohnung bekommen könnte – zum Beispiel etwas Energie, Geschwindigkeit oder ein paar Taler. Denn das Leveln und Geldverdienen dauert meiner Meinung nach etwas lange. Aber das ist nur meine persönliche Einschätzung. Danke für das Spiel! Игра очень завлекает, для любителей такого жанра как ВЫЖИВАНИЕ/РОГАЛИК будет очень интересно поиграть. Я, лично приобрёл игру после стрима DeidraSun, за что большое спасибо стримеру что показали первое прохождение... и очень приятно поиграть в эту игру самому. Желаю всем проверить свои силы, выжить и получить удовольстаие!

OK. Let me start reviewing this game by prefacing that I LOVE ROGUELIKES. So, I really had high expectations of the game and right after I started it, I HATED IT!!! Why you ask? Well, the game simply DOESN'T have the escape button. T_T and the first thing I do whenever I start any new game is adjust things in the setting option. Anyways, right after my initial hate for the game, I LOVED how the developer made everything so interactive including the settings. I'll leave it at that. Now, let's talk about the game itself. The premise, the achievements, the power-ups, the music everything is PURRRRRRFECT! If that makes any sense. Every run will feel differently with so many weapons, powers & builds. You can play the game for hours at end without realising that you're playing the game for hours on end. Anyways, I tried the game with high expectations due to my bias and other than initial aversion to the lack of escape button. The game gives you a really good dopamine hit for about twenty minutes in each run. I plan on playing the game more and expect some good updates. The fact that so many Indian "Cat" Gods help you out is a bonus point from my side. xDDD If you like the genre, indie games from solo devs, its absolutely worth it if you get it for the price its going for but especially so if you can snatch it during some sales. PS: My favorite is Kali. She looks so badass.

Игра очень милая и залипательная, там кооотикиии! У каждой локации своя музыка, у котов своя история. Разработчик большой молодец, старается над игрой, прислушивается к комментариям и это видно/чувствуется в игре! Рекомендую всем, кто любит рогалик/выживание!

Catjinni Survivors is a really unique blend of roguelite and RPG mechanics, wrapped in a genuinely heartfelt concept. What stood out to me most is the care behind the characters. Each of the cat mages feels distinct, with their own abilities and playstyles, and knowing they’re inspired by the developer’s real-life cats adds a layer of personality you don’t often see in games like this. Gameplay-wise, it hits that satisfying loop — fighting through waves of enemies, experimenting with builds, and adapting your strategy as things ramp up. There’s a good variety of enemies, abilities, and upgrades that keeps runs engaging, and the different biomes add some nice visual and gameplay variety. I also really like how the game balances charm with challenge. It can get hectic quickly, but it never feels unfair — more like it’s pushing you to improve each run. On top of that, seeing a solo developer put this level of effort and passion into a project is always worth supporting. If you enjoy roguelites, RPG progression, or just want something with a bit of heart behind it, this is definitely worth checking out!

Entrei achando que era só mais um roguelike... mas ele tem um ritmo diferente. As builds parecem mais sob controle, e os gatinhos dão um charme que muda a vibe do caos. Simples, direto e viciante do jeito certo.

I played this game and Like to say i do like it. It's a good Action, Adventure, Indie, RPG game. 1. The graphics is good. 2. 2D game play 3. CAT CAT CAT CAT CAT If you like cat's you will like this game. Remember there is a solo dev who made this game. Keep Up The Good Work

Recommended. Catjinni Survivors is actually a really fun surprise. At first it looks like a cute cat survivor game, but once the action starts, it gets chaotic fast. The hand-drawn art style gives the game a lot of personality, and the gameplay loop is very addictive. You pick your cat, survive waves of enemies, collect upgrades, and slowly turn into a little magical disaster machine. It has that “just one more run” feeling that good survivor-like games need. I also really like that the game can be played both normally on PC and in VR. The PC version feels cleaner and easier to follow, while VR makes the chaos feel more intense and funny in a different way. It is not trying to be the biggest game ever, but it has charm, fun upgrades, cool ideas, and a lot more personality than I expected.
