Cute game with cats in space, however there are several bugs in the mini games that can block progress. The fact that the save is only updated when chapters are cleared mean that encountering the bug wastes all your progress to that point and resets back to the beginning of that chapter. So unfortunately I cannot recommend it at this time.
Cool and cute game! There are a couple of small bugs, but I wish success to the developers :3
Love this game!! Beautiful artwork and very relaxing gameplay. Space kittens for everyone !!
I would hesitate to call this a game, it has elements of a game, but the gameplay loop seems to be centered around waiting. Now this wouldn't be so bad if the game tried to accommodate this, but not only does the game pause if minimized or you click off it, like most idler games wouldn't do, but the lab minigames stop research dead in it's tracks, forcing you to babysit a 3-8 minute timer, only to start another timer. There is no challenge whatsoever in the gameplay itself, again, not a problem if the game had simply been made to properly facilitate a sort of cozy style, however the game does present a challenge, but it's in navigating the numerous bugs and unoptimized features. The planet finding minigame can force you to resize window to be able to reach the planet it's asking for. Honestly these minigames shouldn't stop research, but instead doing them should be optional and cut like 30 seconds off the timer or something. Going from the game to the main menu and back again will increase the amount of food eaten by the cats by one, meaning if you click back and forth they will be ravenous critters eating five or more food each time they go to the kitchen. Another way to make them gluttonous is to finish making food while one is eating, this will make it take a second serving for some reason, but thankfully this can only happen once per each time they eat. You get flooded with currency after level 10 and can quickly get everything after that, leaving the rest of the game a slog of just waiting for research to finish so you can get the next comic page. Achievements are finicky and the last ones didn't trigger for me, but I have a screenshot of the final screen as proof I finished it, my save file is also bugged, even after finishing the game it punts me back to stage 14 when resumed. Some of the crewmember skins are bugged too, I noticed in the kitchen with the status bar button that some of my crewmembers were supposed to have skins that none of them had. Now... I mind have forgiven all of this had only the game been cheaper, but I paid 11.70 euros for this, I expect at least a functional experience, which this... is not. Even the tutorial can softlock you if all your cats are working in other rooms as you are often asked to send a cat to a new room after you make it. (Yeah the defense room softlocked me, also that room is utterly useless and downright unplayable since this game keels over and dies if you play fullscreen.) Also also... it only saves after clearing a stage... no timed autosave, no manual save and the stage save is only a big MAYBE if it feels like it. I will say though... the graphics are cute. Another thing that baffles me is I found a hidden cat which gave me resources when clicked, it only happened once and yet it was the most memorable moment of the game, why not do more of that? Let us click around the space station and find things, solve unique scripted puzzles. Also I only found out by chance that you can pet the cats that are roaming if you click on them, but not the ones working. Frankly... I'd have been so much more entertained if this had just been a short whimsical digital comic with a soundtrack attached to it for 8 euro. It wasted almost 10 hours of my life because I stubbornly wanted to see it to the end. Also how in the heck does this take up 4 gigabytes!? It plays like an alpha concept for a mobile game and is just as buggy and the amount of good things I can say about it is only it's visuals and music. Also... the dlc is a total scam... I don't know how the game's music is without it, but it's big selling point, a sphere you slowly collect, opens up to reveal something you'll find out about just a few stages later anyway! I'm not angry... I'm just... very disappointed... 2/10 1 point for the cute cats 1 point for the music No points for everything else in this game that's as unsuitable to be a fun game as an actual space station put together by actual cats using only rubber bands and hobby glue as adhesive would be flying through space.
[UPDATE]: Can`t recommend any more, i got stuck at the same point 3 times, as the planet i need to scan is outside the scanable area. Tried 4 times now (which takes about 1 hr cause of autosave and no possibility to save manually). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I wasn`t sure about the game cause of the mixed critics, but at this moment (nov 25) the game runs perfect without bugs. It got cute graphics, cute music and sounds. Sadly not everything is 100% explained, and you got some idle time while research is in progress. In general there is not much to do, except from "situations" which apear from time to time, but those are more or less 1:1 the tasks from among us, so no hard tasks. It`s a bit high priced for the limited things to do, but for 5 or 6 bucks its fair, if you like cats.
A game with cute cats in cutscenes about space exploration. Looking forward for more content!
