"BOOR, bir puzzle platform oyunu. Grafiklerinin sadeliğiyle öne çıkıyor ve puzzleları oldukça keyifli. Bölüm geçişlerine eklenen boss savaşları da gayet eğlenceli hatta zorluğuyla oyuncuyu ekran başından koparmayan cinsten iyiler. Puzzle severler şans vermek isteyecektir."

⫸ STORY 6.5/10 The story is not the game's strongest feature but it gets the job done, briefly its about a group of scientists who create an A.I (Boor) to help them with the quality of life on the new planet but one of them (Donovan) becomes obsessed and installs a chip which turns the A.I rogue and then inside the facility one of the test subjects with a cloning ability gets released and tries to stop (Boor). ⫸ Gameplay 7.5/10 The puzzle aspect is pretty good and fun initially but later, it becomes more of a reflex/speed test than an actual puzzle which i see in a lot of puzzle platformers and its kinda infuriating. as for the boss fights, no complaints there, fun & engaging. It also has some classic mini games which are fun & also part of the achievements. ⫸ Game Design 9/10 The level design & environments are simple yet very fitting to the game's atmosphere complemented by the red, black & white color scheme. ⫸ Soundtrack 10/10 One of the best electronic OST's i've heard. ※ OVERALL 8/10
Please, believe me that the reviews are overreacting for the quality of the game. I was a "victim" of these "very positive" reviews, fortunately the sale price was very low. It's not a good game. First of all, BOOR doesn't know in which genre it belongs. The meat of the game (the levels) is puzzles with very little platforming. Some puzzles are interesting, but with a very infuriating flaw: For the slightest misstep, you have to do the puzzle again, from scratch, ignoring everything you did. Let's have an example. There are multi-step puzzles, but each step doesn't necessarily connect with another of the same level. For instance, in the same level you have to do some platforming and then persuade an enemy to flip a switch for you. The two sections don't connect. But even if you pass the platforming section and fail the puzzle, you have to do the whole thing again. How easy it is to fail in the puzzle? Very easy, because actual puzzles tend to make you fail until you got the solution. Do you want to test a solution? Well, be sure it works, because you have to do the whole thing again if it fails. Assume you need to persuade an enemy to flip a switch you want in order to proceed. But midway there is a hazard for your enemy and if it dies, it cannot flip the switch, so you have to evade the hazard and this is the puzzle. In most of the puzzles I've played, if the object we manipulate dies or destructs, the game magically respawns it so you can try again. In BOOR, it's repeat time. The whole puzzle. And if it features multiple (unrelated) steps, sorry, you have to do them again. In order to try to solve the puzzle again. This is bad design on a problem that's solved from countless devs in puzzle games. While the meat of the game is puzzles, bosses are a different story. Seriously, BOOR has probably the worst boss fights in gaming. There is no puzzle solving in boss fights. Actually, you do nothing. NOTHING. You just dodge the bosses' attacks until there is an attack that damages itself. In every single boss fight. The bosses attacks take too long until it reaches the self-damage attack and if you get hit by one attack, you have to repeat the tedious fight. This section of the game requires twitch skills and if don't have them or you're not interested in this type of action in a puzzle game, bear this in mind. The movement of your character is slow, very floaty and hitboxes are atrocious. So, while this is an easy game, there is some difficulty battling the controls. The worst thing is that I have the suspicion that these flaws were not fixed, because there is a chance that people will make more than 2 hours to finish the game (my time is not indicative, due to alt-tabbing) with the flaws present and won't be tempted to refund. Which is offensive to paying customers. Avoid, even at 39 cents.
Fantastic soundtrack is really the reason to play-- the puzzles are fun enough but there's some difficulty spikes that feel a bit much. The aesthetic is nice though! Don't be bothered by the poor voice acting at the start, it doesn't show up again.
This game has a few difficulty spikes and I can only recommend it to veterans of the puzzle platformer genre. There are some very interesting stages here, but a few could do with some checkpoints, especially the bosses and their marathon barrage dodge trope; it would've been a better fit if the bosses were more puzzle-oriented. Also, you don't make duplicates of yourself. It's more like astral projection and there should be a button prompt at the beginning for it. Other that that, the stage elements and obstacles were well-taught.
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
~BENEFITS~ The gameplay is a nice hybrid of 2D puzzle solving and platforming. Story is enjoyable, albeit a short one. Art style is simplistic and pretty to look at. Multiplying oneself to complete challenges is enjoyable. Lots of interesting levels and hidden collectibles. The music is great, very atmospheric. There's a secret arcade somewhere in the game. ~DOWNSIDES~ The later levels in the game require reaction time rather than platforming or puzzle solving, which wouldn't be much of a problem if the hitbox of our player character wasn't enormous and enemy attack range being way too overpowered. Difficultly varied per level and often caused me to get stuck for long time. (Which ended up forcing me to take breaks from playing through it in one instance.) Some levels felt purposely unforgiving while others felt all too easy. The design of the robots felt a bit underwhelming, especially the final boss. ~CONCLUSION~ Boor is a great game, at a great price. It's a fun experience if you like 2D puzzle platformers.
