Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Aug 21 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

In the past year I've played dozens of incremental/idle games, some good, some bad, but castle idler is the first one yet that I refuse to finish. It's incredibly boring, you can't farm gold because once you finish an objective the level instantly ends, even if you have gold the upgrades are more often than not meaningless, progression is stopped by prestige which you'll have to do every 2 levels or the enemies will have so much HP you have no chance of killing anything. I'm sorry, but it's not fun and I cannot recommend this game at any price, play something else.
Played a lot of idlers and a tower defense idler seem fun, but this is just boring (which I know sounds crazy for a idler). The prestige loop is unsatisfying and the tower defense is very basic.
if you dont prestige in later levels exactly how the dev intended or place everything perfectly, its literally impossible to beat. no effective secondary way to grind over time to slowly win, you either did everything right or you cant beat it
fun for a short time, then it became tedious. i was probably picking the wrong upgrades, but i wound up leaving the game running while at work doing things and slowly grinding my way up. Eventually quit because I realized there was no fun in that for me. To be fair- it is advertised as an idler... just didn't expect that level of idling required to continue
Idle & Incremental Lovers recommends Castle Idler: No waves but a killstreak to achieve for each level make it more relax than your usual TD. Add a great prestige tree with strategic choices to make and you get a pretty unique puzzly incremental TD. + Do you hate tower defense games because the last wave crushes you and you have to start all over? Then this is absolutely the game for you: no waves, just a killstreak to achieve. + Every few levels, you'll hit a wall and will have to prestige. Prestige upgrades are great, imaginative and allow for various synergies between towers. Hard choices to make (you can only choose 6 out of the 8 upgrades each "line" presents), but these will help you focus on your build to tackle the next levels. + Synergies between towers are real, both through the prestige tree upgrades and through in-level placement. This makes it the most puzzly TD I've seen so far. + The incremental aspect is well implemented, and idling can be helpful if you're stuck by only a little margin. +/- You can have various builds, but my understanding is that they all focus on having a specific kind of tower be the huge DPS dealer while the others are there for the support and synergies. I'd have liked to have more balanced builds available, but maybe I just didn't experiment enough. *Why did the castle keep swearing? It had turrets.* Found this review helpful? I am not gonna finish this. It was fun for a while but the balance is not good enough for me to really care. Mostly it is just me trying to figure out what combination the dev imagined is the most effective. And that's really only because this far it seems like only one combination can do it. That or I am just not good. Which I am not.
