Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 6 → 0.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Castle Break feels like one of those mobile-style strategy games that got moved onto PC without adding enough depth to stay interesting for long. The basic idea is simple - build up forces, attack enemy castles, defend your own territory, and slowly progress through increasingly repetitive battles. Early on it can be mildly entertaining, especially when you’re unlocking new units and figuring out how the mechanics work, but the gameplay loop becomes repetitive very quickly. A big problem is that the game never really evolves in meaningful ways. Most battles start feeling the same after a while, and strategy often gets replaced by simply having better upgrades or bigger numbers. Instead of rewarding clever tactics, it frequently feels like you’re just grinding through content. The presentation also doesn’t help much. The visuals are serviceable at best, animations feel cheap, and the overall game lacks personality or memorable moments. The good: - Simple and easy to understand - Short sessions work well - Some early progression feels satisfying - Unlocking units can be mildly enjoyable - Casual gameplay for killing time The bad: - Extremely repetitive gameplay loop - Very little strategic depth - Feels more like a mobile game than a proper PC game - Progression becomes grindy quickly - Battles start feeling identical - Weak presentation and animations - Limited content variety - Controls/UI feel clunky - Lacks personality or memorable moments - Gets boring much faster than expected Overall, Castle Break isn’t terrible, but it feels shallow and repetitive almost immediately. There are far better strategy and castle-defense games available, and this one never really does enough to stand out from the crowd.

I was kinda iffy about this for the first half of this air hockey/block buster game. It's not great or well designed, but it was alright fun for a few minutes. The main game took a little under 40 minutes, with the option for endless modes.
It's not a bad game, I got it for free though :P
Cute little game that you can't lose in. Got it free, so i played.
Decent game to pass the time. It was fun for the first 2 hours, then got a bit repetitive. I took a bunch of breaks in the middle to do other things while keeping the game open, so, in reality, I only played it for about 3 hours. It was fast to 100%, but fun nonetheless

Castle Break is a short and sweet experience that is a fun take on Breakout and other brick breaking games. I played the majority of it on the Steam Deck, which I have to admit is incredibly well suited for this game when using the touchpads. I had no issues moving around and hitting all of the bombs away in time, even when things got hectic on screen. However, I did need to switch to my desktop to be able to play Random mode, because no matter what I did on the Steam Deck, pressing the Random mode button did nothing. I had no issues accessing it when I had switched over to the desktop, so I think it was an issue with the Steam Deck controls configuration whilst in the menu. The game does become quite repetitive though, so I don't imagine it'll be a game I'll be coming back to now that I've finished all of the achievements, but it was worth the low price of entry whilst giving me 4.3 hours of playtime. Edit: Apparently I received the game for free, so now I'm even happier with it!
