Carpet Bombing

Carpet Bombing may looks like an another indie shovelware with awful graphics and terrible gameplay that was originated from android market. While it's true that This game's graphics are poor and is originally an android game, The gameplay is complete opposite. Before it was ported to steam Carpet Bombing was one of the only games I have downloaded and played in my smartphone. The gameplay is like a 360 degree plane shooters such as Time pilot, sopwith, jetstrike, and a classic android game Atomic Bomber. You control a jet to bomb ground enemies, dogfight with enemy aircrafts, and sometimes guide the enemy's missiles to other enemies. The gameplay isn't something very creative or innovate but the action is solid with crisp controls, nice feedbacks, and well balanced difficulty. What's even better is that this game provides infinite amount of levels with the power of procedural generation, so you can just keep playing it until you don't want to. This is one of the games where procedural generation really shines and increases the replay value, unlike lots of failed roguelite games. This game has various types of fighters and bombers to use, but default jet (F-35) is the best one. all unlockable jets are direct upgrade rather than a different playstyle and make the game too easy. Overall, If you are a fan of 360 degree plane shooters and can tolerate its awful graphics, Carpet Bombing is a must buy. When it's comes to the playability, there's no other similar game better than this one. I'm looking forward to PC port of Carpet Bombing 2 as well.

I found Carpet Bombing on Steam and acquired a copy and so far, the experience has been amazing. I was a big fan of the old Jet Strike game and always wish there was a modern version. Carpet Bombing feels really nice. The controls are really Smooth. The graphics are not the best but gives a retro feel. The game play and plane model looks great. You can upgrade weapons, planes shield, speed and others which makes flying even better. I recommend it to all who likes airplane and side scrolling shooters.

Its an awesome game. Can be played only with controller. Mouse and keyboard is very bad.

Tons of procedural fun to be had, if a bit repetitive.
