Carmageddon is the original freeform driving sensation, where pedestrians (and cows!) equal points, and your opponents are a bunch of crazies in a twisted mix of automotive killing machines. The game features anarchic drive-wherever-you-like gameplay and over-the-top surreal comedy violence. It’s the racing game where racing is for wimps.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 8 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I don't know. Really. In all seriousness, the game is fine - the controls are something to be used to, of course, but you can always change them (I am left handed and used R + F and everything unchanged). Not too bad on a wheel + firstperson either. A lot of cars you can steal are incredibly forgiving and fun to drive (mainly Caddy Fat Cat + Towmeister). One thing that truly bothered me were later stage routes + annoying enemies that were hard to wreck at times (I've noticed that at some point The Plow is unwreckable at the front, no matter how fast or hard you wreck it), but other than that, it's OK. I had some issues with the screen being black at the beginning, sound lagging a little or slight framing sometimes, but it had never crashed for me nor anything similiar. From a character/vehicle design standpoint, I do enjoy majority of them; maybe besides The Leadpumper's, despite it being mine favorite car, I'd rather die than drive it. The fan would do absolutely nothing and would be a mess to clean up, IF it didn't mess up the engine. The caricaturelike potrayals of characters are incredibly silly and imagining personalities for all of them have partnered me alongside the hours I had played. Putting lore together from all the scraps puts even more ridiculousness into this piece of work. From game design standpoint, I do like how desolate it feels, despite racing against other ""people"". From a game of its age, I do not really expect a lot. Fun to see how vehicles move on different surfaces, but the singular thing that bothered me about it were potruded sidewalks that seemed flat at first. The maps were fine. I did expect reusing the environments, so that is not something I would of complained about - I actually enjoy the different routes. A lot of the later ones were not fun to play, though. Notably Ramp Rampage and Beach of Blood.

Carmageddon is a very unique car game. I call it a car game because It's not really a racing game but it's also not a car combat game either - it's a mixture of both. You can win in three ways, by winning the race, by killing all the other racers, or by killing all the pedestrians on any given level. It's actually very open-ended, you can choose to play it however you want but the really neat thing is you can just do this by changing your playstyle whenever you want during the level, it's not like a gamemode select or anything you just do it while playing. For example, you could start a game by trying to kill the other racers and then halfway through decide you want to race, so you just start going through the checkpoints instead and the other racers AI will literally change and start going for racing you instead of fighting you. It's really cool, I've never seen anything like it. The game is more of a sandbox playground, the levels are very big open-worldish levels with a set racetrack going through parts of it. You can totally ignore the racing "roads" for a lack of a better term and go fight people on the backroads if you feel like it, and that's this games greatest strength. You can play it however you want, stick around in a level for as long as you want, then move on to the next one. Although Carmageddon holds up pretty well there are a few things I think suck, for one the progression of the game is VERY slow, basically how the "story mode" works is you progress by making profit to increase your placement in the top 100 in between levels which can be done in a number of ways, crashing into other cars, pedestrians, collecting barrels around the level or going through checkpoints. This sounds good and all, but it is very grindy. You have to spend a good 30 minutes in each level to get enough profit to increase your placement by 3-4 ranks, and to beat the game you have to reach rank 1 starting at rank 100 and work your way up. It takes FOREVER, for me it took about 15 hours. I also think the physics of Carmageddon are kinda wonky, the cars are very floaty and certain cars are hard to control. You will get used to them eventually, but there's definitely a learning curve to the feel of cars here. More than anything else though, this games biggest flaw is just how old it is. This version of the game doesn't have any modern controls and runs natively out of DOSbox, if you go to set your controls you can't bind your buttons to something normal like WASD because the S button turns off the sound and it can't be changed due to how the game is coded. I ended up making R my reverse key, obviously this is old PC game jank and this game desperately needs the Nightdive remaster treatment. But yeah that's Carmageddon, one of the most unique car games I've ever played. It actually is a lot of fun despite a few shortcomings. I definitely recommend it if you can stomach the old PC game fiddling you'll have to do to get it comfortable to play.
Trash. Game makes my monitors go crazy and keeps changing screen size. Lags my computer and buggy as ♥♥♥♥ before I was even able to actually play the game. Don't waste your time.
Nagyon jó és élvezetes játék még most is hiába hogy régi
