Carmageddon is the original freeform driving sensation, where pedestrians (and cows!) equal points, and your opponents are a bunch of crazies in a twisted mix of automotive killing machines. The game features anarchic drive-wherever-you-like gameplay and over-the-top surreal comedy violence. It’s the racing game where racing is for wimps.

Surprisingly still holds up to this day. Old, but still perfectly playable. For people complaining that it messes up resolutions, they need to realise they are running a 30 year old game emulated via DOSBox. There's a configuration tool in the game folder, too. It won't be perfect - but besides the resolution stuff, it genuinely just works.
Trash. Game makes my monitors go crazy and keeps changing screen size. Lags my computer and buggy as ♥♥♥♥ before I was even able to actually play the game. Don't waste your time.
CUNNING STUNT BONUS!!
I don't know. Really. In all seriousness, the game is fine - the controls are something to be used to, of course, but you can always change them (I am left handed and used R + F and everything unchanged). Not too bad on a wheel + firstperson either. A lot of cars you can steal are incredibly forgiving and fun to drive (mainly Caddy Fat Cat + Towmeister). One thing that truly bothered me were later stage routes + annoying enemies that were hard to wreck at times (I've noticed that at some point The Plow is unwreckable at the front, no matter how fast or hard you wreck it), but other than that, it's OK. I had some issues with the screen being black at the beginning, sound lagging a little or slight framing sometimes, but it had never crashed for me nor anything similiar. From a character/vehicle design standpoint, I do enjoy majority of them; maybe besides The Leadpumper's, despite it being mine favorite car, I'd rather die than drive it. The fan would do absolutely nothing and would be a mess to clean up, IF it didn't mess up the engine. The caricaturelike potrayals of characters are incredibly silly and imagining personalities for all of them have partnered me alongside the hours I had played. Putting lore together from all the scraps puts even more ridiculousness into this piece of work. From game design standpoint, I do like how desolate it feels, despite racing against other ""people"". From a game of its age, I do not really expect a lot. Fun to see how vehicles move on different surfaces, but the singular thing that bothered me about it were potruded sidewalks that seemed flat at first. The maps were fine. I did expect reusing the environments, so that is not something I would of complained about - I actually enjoy the different routes. A lot of the later ones were not fun to play, though. Notably Ramp Rampage and Beach of Blood.
es un juegazo, podes atropellar, estrellarte contra tus contricantes hasta detonarlos, tener mas autos. el mejor juego de carreras. epico XD
This was a super cool game when I was a kid but it doesn't hold up today. Horribly unresponsive controls is the main culprit that makes trying to race hard and makes smashing and killing opponents so annoying it's just not fun.

It works on Windows 11, mid high tier. If the glide 3dfx is lagging and total ♥♥♥♥. Go to steam folder where Carma1 is, go to DOSBOX and find the .dll of glide2x and just rename it to anything else and it'll run. Remember, this is an OLD GAME. Textures may undulate when going slow, and it may only run in 60 frames. But this is the original that started it and what SCI which they had when they remade it with their recent game.
