About
Spin. Drop. Score.
Cardwheel is a fun roguelite where you drop balls into a big spin wheel. Each run begins with choosing a wheel, and each wheel changes the difficulty and how you play.
How it works:
🎡 Choose Your Wheel: Each wheel gives you a unique setup and starting resources.
🃏 Make Your Choice: Enter the next round, or skip it for powerful bonuses like cash, free card packs, or guaranteed rare jokers in the shop.
🎨 Spin for Score: Drop 6 balls into a wheel of 4 colors. Match colors to rack up chips, multiply your total, and try to clear the round’s score goal. However, be cautious, as your spins are limited.
🛒 Shop & Upgrade: Between rounds, visit the shop to buy jokers and card packs. Jokers twist the rules (e.g., more chips for red balls, multipliers for pairs), while card packs change how balls, slots, or colors behave.
👹 Boss Challenges: Every three rounds, face a unique twist. Some colors stop scoring, modifiers shut down, or jokers get disabled. Adapt fast; there are 8 bosses to beat.

Reviews
Picked this up because I like roguelites and weird deckbuilder-style mechanics. Cardwheel definitely delivers. The runs are fast and the decisions between rounds are meaningful. Each boss forces you to completely rethink your strategy. It’s easy to learn but there’s a lot going on once you start experimenting with all the options.
Pros: Super addictive gameplay loop Lots of interesting ball/joker/slot combos Runs are quick Cons: Bosses can really screw you over. Sometimes the ball physics act unexpectedly. Overall though, the good runs where everything lines up are amazing.

This game is OVERLY simple for the genre it’s in. It’s extremely easy, there isn’t a lot of variation or depth to strategy or anything. It’s boring . On top of that it needs to be patched. When you buy an upgrade if you keep hitting the a button it will just keep giving you the upgrade again for free … until you decide to stop. I’m not typically very critical with my reviews. But this game is just that bad. I love games of this genre, but this isn’t it
Lame plagiarism of Balatro
I was unsure about the concept at first but it actually works really well. Watching the wheel spin and trying to land balls in the right slots feels surprisingly strategic. It has that roguelite quality where a run can suddenly become insane if the right upgrades line up. Really satisfying gameplay loop.
It has that great “simple mechanic, deep strategy” thing going on. The runs move fast, the upgrades matter, and the bosses keep you from relying on the same strategy every time. Super replayable.
Fun little roguelike that has a good mix strategy, luck, and a bit of skill. There is a nice variety in the upgrades so you can make some strong synergies throughout a run. I've taken some risks in this game that paid off very well, which feels good because it isn't always a guarantee. The timing isn't too hard to nail down to get the balls to go where you want them to, but it's not so easy where it happens every time. Plays well on PC, Mac, and Steamdeck!
It's a fun twist on Belatro. Cute graphics and chill music.
feels like a weirdly addicting game. its a nice game to have in the background that i play between loading into other games. its simple but satisfying
