HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
A whimsical, charming little game. Everything -- from art style to music to writing to game play -- is lighthearted and uncomplicated. It's a simple pleasure.

-Beautiful and immersive cardboard art style -Simple/intuitive mechanics for whacking enemies/interacting (x), jumping (a), and ducking/sliding through cracks -Simple story with a variety of dialogue interactions with various characters -Catchy/good background music (that fits the cardboard theme) -4 cardboard locations town, library, farm, and boss arena -1-2 puzzles, a mini game, 10-20 enemies to defeat, and a boss fight -Achievements are all very achievable, however there is a bug where it doesn't give them to you (which developers are fixing) -Friendly for all ages -Pretty short game (15- 30) minutes -Free game (but if they made it longer it could be worth paying for) -You can get cute videos of a cardboard hand petting cute real life doggies :) Overall, I recommend this game if you are looking for a free cardboard themed adventure game which includes some puzzles and cardboard enemies to defeat, a short game play and/or a game for your kids (adults can enjoy to though!).
Aww... That's a sweet and kind little game! It showcased some (or all?) of the kid's drawings and captured their imagination in this game... The best they could. ^.^ It also includes real life cinematics of animals (mostly dogs) getting petted and it's a heart warmth overload! My favorite thing to do is crawl around as a flat board. Because why not? Achievements aren't hard... Except for maybe the cup one. XD Then I started another play through and found it!
Always check behind WATERFALLS!!!
Cute, lovely and what's not to like? If you are a rebel like me and already over-used your controller on a different game... Then you can play with a keyboard and mouse! "X" "SLAM" is "Left Mouse Click" / "A" "JUMP" is "Spacebar" and Movement should be pretty darn obvious! "WASD". So nice... Too bad my cat is an expert at beating every game within a few seconds... Otherwise he would enjoy this if he just slowed down! THANK YOU FOR THE FUN CREATION! <3 :) =)

Doodleburg'a hoş geldiniz!

Great student game! A 30 minute action-adventure. Nice visuals, silly dialogue, minigames, a puzzle, achievements. All the makings of a great big action-adventure. Combat was just ok but entirely theme-appropriate. The 2D-in-3D-world vaguely reminds me of Super Paper Mario and The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds.
"Cardboard Chronicles" is a quirky 3D adventure/action game with a "cardboard art" theme. Take on the role of a kid turned into a little cardboard cutout thing, fight some stuff, do some adventure stuff. It's okay, but not amazing. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low-ish poly count 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
