About
Capy Castaway is a cozy narrative exploration adventure where a capybara pup and a clever crow solve puzzles, help animal friends, and explore a mysterious island.
Play solo or together in a heartwarming story about friendship and home.
After a flood sweeps several zoo animals far from home, a young capybara pup named Capy washes ashore on the mysterious Castaway Island where all sorts of objects, trinkets, and even other animals have become lost to time and space.
Here, Capy meets Corvi, a clever and chatty crow who becomes their voice, guide, and self-appointed “cool older sibling.” Together, they explore the island, befriend its colourful Castaways, lend a helping paw and wing, and uncover the story hidden beneath the island’s quiet surface.
Through exploration, kindness, and a little (or a lot of) mischief, Capy and Corvi slowly discover that the meaning of “home” may be bigger than they imagined.
Inspired by real memories and places from Toronto, Capy Castaway’s world blends cozy nostalgia with playful wonder.
Meet Capy, a curious capybara pup with a nose for discovery, and Corvi, a mischievous young crow who always has something to say.
Capy can sniff, dig, and swim (and not to mention make sandcastles, eat snacks, and play music), while Corvi can fly, fetch items, and carry Capy to new, unreachable places!
Be playful, interact with everything and everyone, and approach each challenge in your own creative way. Your choices will shape the story, open new paths, and unlock multiple possible endings filled with emotions, surprises, and little moments of delight
Locals and fellow zoo Castaways can be found throughout your adventure, so you can also help out these lost animals or… don’t?
Give relationship advice, help friends find closure, search for lost items, or simply goof around. The way you play is up to you!
But be careful; your decisions matter, shaping both the story and the ending scenes based on how you interact with everyone on Castaway Island.
Play solo and control both characters, or share the journey with a friend in co-op mode! A special kind of camaraderie (and chaos) is unlocked when another player joins the journey with new ways to play and explore.
Capy Castaway is designed to be low-stress and welcoming for everyone, from longtime gamers to partners, families, or kids discovering adventure games for the very first time!
Meeting old and new friends alike, this heartwarming, narrative-driven adventure will transport players to a place that is both unknown and nostalgic as they explore a world inspired by memories of Toronto.

This game is SO cute! Soothing, gentle, and at times—deep. Be a capybara and explore a flooded world with your new crow friend, helping other animals from your former zoo along the way. STACK THINGS ON YOUR HEAD! ALL OF THE THINGS! Change your name, and have people be super cool about it, actually! Make soup, eat fruit, and just vibe. Absolutely recommend—also supports co-op, so a buddy can control your bird fren!
This is a super adorable game and fun to play. I like how Capy and Corvi do different things so it feels like you have options for how to solve puzzles. It's also got a really awesome soundtrack. I

I want to recommend this but being someone who grind to complete achievements means this game overstayed its welcome by about 4 hours time and to get all the achievements (if they don't bug out again) I would still have to do at least 4 partial playthroughs due to the inability to turn off autosaves and to top it off I'm not even sure doing 1 of the hidden achievements is possible at worst or at best needs a specific guide for it from the devs with at least one more full playthrough from start to finish meaning that I would spend a minimum of four more hours playing through the same content yet another time which leads to me not recommending the game because the developers don't seem to respect my time.
Great art direction (visuals, animations...) and the characters are adorable! Dialogue is better than most games I've played however there isn't really a lot of time to get to know / get attached to the side characters. It's also pretty easy to get lost since the map isn't super helpful and it's difficult to figure out what there is left to do. I can tell a lot of love was poured into this game though so I still reccommend it because its absolutely adorable
Capy Castaway is a cozy exploration adventure about Capy, a capybara pup washed onto a mysterious island after a flood, and Corvi, a young crow. You explore the island, solve light puzzles, help stranded animals, and either switch between the pair solo or play together in local co-op. Pros ✔️ The game is very cute - The stylized art gives it a unique and stylized look. ✔️ Capy says a lot without talking - Little reactions and animations give Capy plenty of personality without needing dialogue, which made them even more endearing to me. ✔️ The characters are pretty well thought out - The animals you meet along the way have their own personalities and problems. Cons ❌ The lighting feels a bit off - The lighting made things look flatter or stranger than I think they were meant to. ❌ Some of the colours bleed together too much - I understand the visual choices they were going for, but certain environments blend together enough that things can become harder to distinguish and get muddy. ❌ I am not a huge fan of Corvi - Your crow companion is with you for most of the adventure, so not really connecting with them affected me. Conclusion It is a cute game, and I enjoyed both playing it solo and trying the couch co-op with someone else. I do think the controls and some of the gameplay could use another round of polish, but I still had a great experience with it. It wasn't quite the game for me, but I can easily see someone else getting a lot more joy out of it than I did. Score 6/10 Lost Castaways - I enjoyed getting lost with Capy, even if I was ready to head home before they were.
Is it a good game? Maybe? No? Kind of? Somewhat. Is it worth the price? Probably not... Did I still like it? Definitely. So I'll recommend.
Adorable and lovely little game. Obsessed with Capy's squeaky sound effects and the running around and jumping feels super good. Love throwing objects especially!
Yay for couch co-op!
Such a whimsical little game that approaches LGBTQ+ topics very casually. There are lots of choices to be made and some cute character interactions. I had a good time playing through it and I'll return to it later to make different choices
I loved playing Capy Castaway. Capy is a lot of fun to control and the world is full of so many things to discover. The art style is awesome and the atmosphere is fun. You can explore at your own pace and stack so many things on your head. I had a lot of fun getting to know all the characters and help them out. I loved seeing all the references to Toronto too! WOOT!
