This game has promise but needs polish and content. I'm going to put it as a recommended for now just to give it a little boost to get to that point. As for the game, it takes heavy inspiration from Sonic's Chao gardens. The main game is taking care of little guys, feeding them, taking them out on walks to find new trees and then playing in minigames. The walking areas are fun and the biggest difference from the inspiration. There are some boost stages are are like modern sonic run stages but they need a lot of work at the moment. Alternate paths seem to end abruptly and you die, boosting in another direction suddenly turns the camera and there usually was a hazard you had a second to process and react to and so on. The game does start with asking if you'd like to turn these stages off. I mainly wanted to leave a review to say a few things. The most important thing I want to say is that this game is primarily Chao Garden style gameplay with a bit of the platforming aspect, so others know what kind of game they were getting. I wasn't as sure looking at the trailers and screenshots. Another thing I want to mention is that this feels a bit on the early side of early access games.

Easily one of the funniest game I have Play! Give me the vibes of SA2. So if you into raising capri and have fun exploring even some awesome level, play it yourself it fun as hell.

This game is a real gem, the Capri Creatures are adorable, the music and atmosphere are comforting and the whole vibe is relaxing. I feel at ease every time I play this game and my heart melts at how cute the Capri are, i deeply love this game and I hope it gets to be enjoyed by even more people.

A true labor of love by fans of the Sonic Adventure sensation that started the craze for the little round bubbly babies! So many fun nods and a surprising amount of carryover knowledge helped guide me through the game’s basics so it helped me feel acclimated to new ideas much faster than most games with this kind of depth.

So, this game appeals to all my Sonic Adventure hyperfixations that I've been wanting to see for YEARS. There's only a few games out like Chao Garden at the time of this review, but this one infuses the speed stage elements from the Sonic Adventure games to break up the gameplay and cozy nature of raising your Capri's. That balance is appreciated and something the other Chao Garden-likes haven't really done. I also like the way raising Capri's is handled with basically a generous time limit while you can take on unlimited challenges until they reach the next stage of their evolutions when enough time passes. My only criticism is it can be a bit unoptimized in some areas and level layouts can be a bit confusing at first. I'm sure that will all improve in time with this being in early access. The atmosphere is immaculate though and I really enjoy the charm/vibes of the graphics. I recommend at least trying the demo if you're interested in any of what I've said about the game. Can't wait to see how everything progresses for development as time goes on!

Capri Care is such a cozy and relaxing game. From the calm atmosphere to chasing little animals to collect their berries, it’s a very peaceful experience where you get to raise, care for, and explore the world with your Capri. And if you ever want a change of pace, I really enjoy the speedrun side of the game too, where you’ve gotta go fast XD. I’ve been following this game since it was in very early access, and you can really feel how much love, time, and care has been put into it. It’s charming, relaxing, and fun to come back to. You’ll enjoy your time with it. I definitely recommend it!
