A mash-up of the common idle clicker genre and a city builder, Capitals is a fast-paced and competitive strategy game. Each match is set on a resizable game board made up of hexagonal tiles, randomly generated each time you play.

Like the other reviews say it really needs a tutorial, you can figure out a few things but it doesn't really matter since there is a desperate need for the AI to be re-balanced. There are also a lot of things to keep track of on the side bar. But the concept seems fun and the AI building is kinda neat, hopefully it gets better!
Has ZERO tutorial, no explaination of what to do or how to progress and even the easy is difficult for trying to learn what to do, 3/10 The only up side is that its an interesting topic very poorly done
This game is great I love it! I needs some balancing but other than that its honestly kinda epic! would be fun to play with friends but I have none D: but overall pretty good! Some things to improve the game : TUTORIAL PLEASE! I still have no idea what the outlined tiles do. maybe change how the prices develop because I got pretty far into the game and could not improve my situation at all. everything cost over 800 of each material and I only had +0.1 - +0.2 on everything. Please add more troops and maybe a different visualization of the troops. How it is in its current state I played a 60 minute game where no one died because each troop would immediatly die upon contact of the enemy, A visualization of of the range of the towers and balistas would also be cool (transparent red circle or smthg similar). While you're at it I would change it so you can see your territory while not in build mode. Finally The last major thing would greatly improve the experience would be to add a building that passively gathers for you at a slower rate with more of these buildings increasing the rate of gather. Manual is fun but even more fun is watching your capital be self sufficient! TLDR: Good game, things to fix are: enemy balancing, resource balancing, troop visuals, add fullscreen, add high-resolution textures, add more color because 72 minutes of white tiles gets bland after a while make it so you can see your territory even when not in build mode add back button in build mode so you dont have to exit and re-enter add tower and other attacking tile range visuals add buildings that passively gather for you add more options for the settings menu please add a colour blind mode I beg!! and finally just polish it up! Its really fun but just very rough in its current state!

I launched the game and it doesn't tell you what to do. You create a game against an AI and the AI builds a massive empire while you are unable to do anythig because nobody and nothing told you how to. Not recommended until there is a tutorial
All I could do was place a capital, then press B to open the build menu, was never able to figure out how to build. You can press a button that says gather, and numbers change, aaaaaaand thats about it folks. You must play in the 240p window or you get about 3 fps on a modern gaming rig.
took 81 minutes to learn the game and beat hard. i hate that the hard ai just gets free stuff. they obviously dont play by the same rules.
Minimalist game, which is fine, but there is no explanation how to play. Zero tutorial, virtually no tool tips, and the AI builds waaaaaay faster than you, which I'm guessing is a balancing thing to make the game challenging for experienced players, but for someone who has no idea how anything works, it's pretty disheartening to check your opponent's kingdom after you've built three houses and a couple farms to see a kingdom three times yours complete with giant walls and troops. A single page of instructions would go a long way to making the game playable. Can't recommend in current state.
This game is by far the worst experience I've had playing a new unknown game. Please make a tutorial or something to help the already minute population of people playing this game bigger because i am genuinely mad right now writing this.
Cool little game to play from time to time. Its simple and after some rounds you should have understood it. Personally i have some ideas that i'd like to be implemented. First of all, i would say it would be better if the preview pictures in the building menu only showed the specific "thing", to show exactly what is ment and not more. Alaso it would be nice to have a visualasaiton if you can buy this object. eg: If you can buy it all the needed resouces are shown in a green color and the ones you dont have enought of are shown red, so you can directly see what resouce is missing. otherwise some texuring would be cool so not all buildings are completly white and the world looks more colourfull. Hope this helps :)
The UI could be made so much clearer with some simple black outlines and some explaining on the left icons, still don't know what they indicate. how the ♥♥♥♥ do you do anything past placing your capital? i really think this game could be fun, but its literally unplayable until there info on how.
