fun game i enjoyed shooting robots and killing them i will say there should be a voice slider because the voice is way too loud and i turned down music and sfx audios. i feel like the power scaling is too quick to where at like round 5 on factory i was one shotting the robots with the k-pistol.
NEEDS NASA computer
poor performance and complete lack of enemy variety aside, its pretty fun. hope the game gets optimized in the future

OK I really like this game is very unique and beautiful
I think this is really cool, and it gets a lot of things right but just can't recommend it because the most important aspects of a game like this are the movement and the shooting - and both are lacking. The two weapons you get are enough, and both have their uses however I felt the shotgun to be a little too slow. It feels powerful enough to justify the amount of time between shots but it just doesn't work well when you've got the enemy ganging up on you, which their simplistic AI ensures will happen. They're not going to try and flank you, they've picked the shortest path straight to you and will come barrelling down it. This made the SMG feel a lot better to use in my opinion since I could take them out at a distance. The melee enemies aren't a threat at all, but the ranged ones are awful to deal with. Each hit you take does 10 points of damage out of 100 total HP, so while there's room to recover if you get slapped a few times you can't say the same thing when there are multiple ranged enemies shooting at you as you try to contend with the melee enemies. I recognise there's a skill issue at play as well, I'm not really into boomer shooters so I don't get a lot of practice, however the ones I do play feel much more forgiving even when there are considerably more enemies to deal with. I think I'd do a bit better if it weren't for how bad the movement feels. There's so much to it, double jumps and double dashing, air vents that launch you into the air to quickly access higher platforms, and your movement speed is pretty high so there's potential to get really good at the game. However the sensitivity is screwed, there seems to be input delay, and I find the character just doesn't move the way he should. The high movement speed doesn't help either, at least not in my case, because I can't seem to be precise enough to take advantage of what the game gives me. I would be more inclined to think this is solely my fault if it weren't for all the other reviews pointing out the same things. Now to the good. I really love the overall theme and atmosphere, it feels both genuine and somewhat sarcastic, a little tongue in cheek with the communist pro-worker stance. The dialogue only being in Swedish adds to the experience for me, I wouldn't change that for the world. I think the graphics and overall art style is very fun, they're not trying for an ultra realistic look and that's a good thing. Overall this is a really charming little game and I'm happy I got to experience it in the limited way I did, but I would've been a lot happier if it felt playable. I think the devs deserve praise, I know this is a student project and it would've been amazing if it was a little bit tighter. I'm genuinely sorry to leave a negative review.
It's basically just worse Man vs Machine from Team Fortress 2 with less options. Which is all I wanted from a TF2 story mode. Team Fortress 2 sucks so by association this does too. There's some presumably old Swedish dude saying one liners like he thinks he's duke nukem but this game's pretty lame and lags like crazy with very few settings and maps while also using AI art. Seems very half assed and lazy. Maybe next time you'll make an ok game that isn't plagarizing someone else's work if you took this idea and maybe ripped off something like Star Wars or Halo. A Swedish Halo 5 clone would be pretty cool, always liked those ideas but they really were wasted not being some kind of original IP. It took me more time to download Can Strike than to see every part of it to completion so I cannot recommend. Lacks content, depth, and the robots don't even move while the game is running like a Youtube video at about 10fps even on a higher end RX 570 8gb GPU rig. Keep dreaming, daydream.
I look forward to seeing where this can go with after it is polished up and fleshed out. Certainly has the potential. A couple of things I did note, the spike in difficulty between wave 1 & 2 is a bit much, it basically increases the amount of ranged enemies and they basically spam you with shots. Would be easily countered by adding grenades or adding a little bit more weapon variety. It didn't take me long to figure out an exploit to bottleneck the enemies so having them taking alternative paths when jumping up/down to a location would be beneficial. Overall a decent experience, keep working on it! Edit: Just read that this is a student project and as a game dev student myself I've gotta say that's impressive, hard certainly work paid off
