game does not launch, automatically crashes upon launching; attempted to contact support (which was hard enough) - and no response, no email, no nothing. Apex Crash Handler "something went wrong!" and thats all the information you get; support is nonexistent. I don't recommend it for this reason.
I've refunded this game... Twice. It's honestly of embarassingly poor quality overall. Sure, the engine and visuals could look a lot worse, but stuff just doesn't work and is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ subpar that you're way better off spending the money elsewhere. Even after buying it again, years after release, it hadn't improved anywhere near enough to be a bottom of the barrel fishing game. By far one of the worst fishing games even I've tried.

so schlecht programmiert, so eine schlechte menüführung und ich kaufe keinen fcking walkingsimulator wen ich angeln will. Schnellreisen freischalten und die Wege sind so Kacke, vorallem mit der Steuerung beim fahren. Ich wurde 10 Jahre älter wegen des Spiels. Selten so einen scheiss gesehen und dafür noch 30€ verlangen, jeder der Ansprüche hat wird hier enttäuscht

First off, I want everyone to know that at present, this game is in maintenance mode. That being said, I truly have been enjoying this game. I bought this game with all DLC during the 2025 summer sale for about $30. You might think that's expensive for a game in maintenance mode, but the amount of content it offers, in my opinion, is worth it. I tried other fishing games before buying this one, and the experience was in some ways better and in some ways much worse. I would advise to try Fishing Planet first as it's F2P, but not really, but if you like FP I feel you would like The Angler as well at a fraction of the overall cost.
