About
All is not well at Miskatonic University. Professor Harry Everhart tries to ignore the shadows flitting at the corners of his vision, while student Evangeline Drayton is haunted with impossible dreams of an artifact uncovered a decade ago. In their search for answers, the pair will uncover revelations more ancient than anyone could have imagined.
Call of the Sea’s object and observation-based puzzles return with new depth. Scour richly-rendered environments for clues. Swap between Harry and Evangeline to solve complex, multi-part problems across time and space. Choose your own difficulty level with toggle-able hints, icons, and journal entries
Harry and Evangeline’s journey takes them from the firelit libraries of a New England mansion to the red sands of the Australian outback, through frozen wastelands and otherworldly cities out of time, all stunningly rendered in Unreal Engine 5 and featuring a soundtrack by multi-award-winning returning composer Eduardo De La Iglesia.
Follow Harry Everhart and Evangeline Drayton as they search for the truth about their missing loved ones and come face-to-face with beings beyond their understanding. Inspired by H P Lovecraft's 'The Shadow out of Time', Call of the Elder Gods features a fully voice-acted story of grief, family, and sanity, starring returning talents Yuri Lowenthal (Spider-Man, Arcane, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth) and Cissy Jones (Firewatch, Starfield, Baldur’s Gate III).

I liked this a lot! American Arcadia is still my favorite from this dev team (loved the easter egg about that, too!) but this was a solid entry. Good music, great performances (Darin de Paul!!! Ah!) and with one exception, really fun and strong puzzles! I will say the final puzzle should have utilized the switch-between-characters function, as it was infuriating to keep climbing ladders and going up elevators, and why would Evie just be standing there?? Also uh, I do hope we all agree that being a Nazi is a lot worse than a "kook", right? Weird choice of words, Harry. I did also sort of giggle at the characters using the right accent for Spitzbergen, and our MC used the wrong pronunciation for her own hometown (it's more like "Benud" than the French, LOL). My final issue here is the story wasn't quite as strong as that first one, mainly that sometimes they'd be like, "What is this? It looks like that tower!" and you're like, it looks like the same scenery you literally just saw two seconds ago? It felt a bit jarring sometimes that they would express surprise over something they already talked about. Finally, the controller support was not the best, some of the puzzles trying to move between things (the Enigma machine, and the mind switching machine in particular) was super fiddly and could have benefited from the D-pad being mapped -- I probably could have done that myself, but just a note (we played this on the TV with a docked Steam Deck) This sounds nitpicky and it is, because those are the only things I could point out as I really liked this and would absolutely recommend it -- especially the thank you note in which the devs very bluntly speak out against the predatory gaming industry and their lack of care for anything but money. ROCK ON, HELL YEAH, I was already a huge fan of this dev team but that just cemented my fangirl status! I love games like this and really enjoyed this title, especially the ending, which was lovely. Great production, graphics, music, atmosphere, and I appreciate the time and effort and care that went into this, even if I had a few things that bugged me overall. Can't wait for the next one!
As I havent played Call of the Sea I thought: Oh nice a puzzle game with Cthulu mythos, gonna have dread and weird puzzles and madness. Instead I got a sappy story, the whole amount of dread the game had dissapeared in first chapter, and there was zero madness. Just great, for people who like such stories bout longing and etc, it should be game for you. But for people who bought it because of Lovecraftian tag you will be sorely disappointed.
Great sequel to Call of the Sea. Loved the puzzles, loved the story. I missed having a 'log' though compared to the first one, I liked filling it in and reading through it. But, I really enjoyed it overall and if they make another one I'll definitely play it.
Świetne zagadki, atmosfera i poczucie przeżywania przygody wraz z bohaterami. Taki trochę Indiana Jones w starym stylu.
Vaig jugar a Call of the Sea que em va encantar. Treballen i adapten perfectament relats lovecraftians i ho notes quan estás jugant.
Having played Call of the Sea a few months ago, this fixed a lot of the technical issues I found with that game (movement speed, accessibility options around subtitles, etc.). I really enjoyed the puzzles bar one near the end (all correct and some correct shouldn't produce the same result imo, I don't think that gives me the information to complete it), however I do think the story was a little weak in comparison to the first game. Not a deal breaker for me, but worth knowing.
