About
Cabernet is a 2D narrative RPG set in a 19th century Eastern European inspired world, with a modern twist. Guide Liza, a young vampire struggling with her morality and the supernatural world she has been pulled into. Will you retain your humanity or descend further into the horror you have become? Prepare to explore a hidden world of political intrigue, class conflict, and decadent corruption.
Use the moonlit sky to plan your next feast and explore. Mingle among vampiric society and the humans who feed them. Uncover who can aid your new kin and whose only purpose is to be drained.
Vampirism isn't just an unholy transformation of your body-- it also threatens to transform your mind. Will you choose to indulge your empathetic humanity or embrace your newfound nihilism?
But to lure your next meal somewhere safe and secluded, you'll need to understand who they are and what they desire. A kind-hearted, alcoholic coachman? A fraying newlywed couple? A greedy, yet charming charlatan? Their lives are yours to aid or unravel.
Art, literature, history, science, these are the skills you'll require to succeed. Your knowledge will be your greatest weapon in a world where the cunning drain the brutal of life.

Jeu sympathique, anglais facile (et je suis très nulle), mais la fin sérieusement: à chi**. Tellement brutale que j'ai cru avoir eu la mauvaise fin. Et en plus aucune concéquence narrative de nos actes sur celle-ci.
Brilliant game with multiple endings and routes to take that influence how and where other characters end up. So if you like decision making games and beautifully fleshed out characters unique with their backstories, you will enjoy this one! I also opted to collect all achievements for this game after I completed my first run and boy did it require careful planning in order to make it in a couple of runs rather than restarting again and again. The whole relationship system is made in a way that characters are connected with each other, they share side quests and things like that, so if you slip up with one character, you may fail another character's quest. Also you always have to be mindful of the time (there's a calendar in the game), because some quests are timed and if you miss them, then it's gone which again has a chain reaction towards subsequent quests. Then there's the whole knowledge thing where you have to make sure that you have enough knowledge in a specific area to be able to unlock certain dialogues and routes in the game. So it took a loooot of time to plan my second and third run in order to squeeze in as many achievements as possible in one go with the least amount of reruns. :D And even with my careful planning, there were still times where I have forgotten some small details and had to reload older saves... For that reason I wish there were more save slots (there's only 6).
cute little game
Cabernet is a really enjoyable narrative RPG with a great atmosphere, interesting characters, and meaningful choices. The "choices matter" aspect is one of the strongest parts of the game. I found myself actually thinking about the consequences of my decisions instead of just clicking through dialogue, and the story kept me invested from start to finish. That said, the game has quite a few bugs that can be frustrating. The biggest issue is the autosave system. It saves so infrequently that you can lose a surprising amount of progress if something goes wrong. There were several times I wished it saved after major choices or important events. The stealing mechanic also feels broken. Even when you successfully steal, you don't always receive additional coins, making it feel inconsistent. On top of that, stealing advances the in-game clock, which doesn't really make sense. If I'm successfully picking a pocket in a split second, why is so much time passing? It makes an already risky mechanic feel even less worthwhile. Despite those issues, I still had a great time with Cabernet. The writing, world-building, and replayability make it easy to recommend. I just hope the developers continue patching the bugs because there's an excellent game underneath them.
this is one of those stories tha tyou walk into expecting nothing, but as it progresses you can feel the build up and you know you're working towards something impressive. Well, after the first ending i accidentally triggered... it is more then you'd ever expect. truely surprising, amazing world- and storybuilding. 10/10 game for me. Sure it might have a little walking bug here and there but the game is absolutely beautiful in the artstyle and soundscape.
It's a nice game with some dark conclusions... Only thing I'm very upset about is that vampires are creatures of night and still need lanterns that was often inconvienient to toggle...
wo
Great narrative.
So, I just wanted to kill a little time with a visual novel & picked this one cause vampires. I was NOT expecting something that would make me tear up, especially the ending. It felt like a very real take on the aspects of living for centuries. Can't recommend this one enough.
Enjoyable from beginning to end. Good voice acting, choices matter, look forward to this teams future projects.
