Burger Zombies pros: //fast game with modern day graphics with easy controls that moves from location A to B to C and so on //good amount of action and special effects cons: //difficult to make deliveries when enemies continuously spawn //camera view does not rotate //good game Personal Suggested Purchase Price: Free To Play
Delivery complete pop-ups cover the screen causing death. Zombies get stuck in walls and cars. Cars clip through the floor. Weapons should be ammo limited instead of time limited so you can plan a pick up and delivery. Driving controls are awkward and cars run out of durability exceptionally quickly. Vending machine purpose is not visually clear.
oh good game i just wish that it had multiplayer i was not very happy to find out that its single player only
"Burger Zombies" is a strange and sad hybrid of a top down/twin stick style shooter and a delivery game. Get burgers, deliver them, shoot zombies, all in a low poly asset flip looking phoned in technical presentation that resulted in nobody wanting to play this. What do you do in the game? More zombie shooting than delivery. Both tasks are made significantly more difficult due to the lack of polish and game breaking bugs. This is a nope. I'm not sure if this is an asset flip, but it's one of those cases where the assets just look much better than the rest of the quality of the game... a glaring inconsistency. There's no evidence, but as always, the biggest problem with asset flips besides the plagiarism is the deplorably low quality of the other aspects of the game, and even if the game assets are genuinely created for the game, the quality of the rest of the game is indistinguishable from that of asset flips. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. Most "free" games on Steam aren't really free. There's usually some kind of monetisation, from nasty mobile app cash shops, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, to any other number of shady pricing schemes that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable, or something you might want to spend your time on. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 6 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Since free games don't contribute to your game collector badge and other profile stuff, is this a worthwhile addition to your Steam library? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
I like the funny zombie noises, and the funny zombie models, and the funny hats.
