On June 6th, 2017, Valve shutdowns Greenlight. The day after, Acuze Interactives releases Bunker 58 as a full-game... while it's still pre-alpha! POSITIVES 1. Does not crash NEGATIVES 1. ASSET FLIPS 2. Only one tiny map 3. Some framerate issues 4. Very few enemy encounters 5. Scary segments are poorly executed 6. Poorly implemented melee combat 7. Player respawns with no weapon 8. Poorly implemented inventory system 9. Poorly implemented crafting system 10. Some functionality issues with the UI 11. Glitchy item placements 12. Interaction with the environment is nonexistant 13. Nothing else to do after you kill all enemies 14. Excessively overpriced What the game description on the store page should be: "After playing this game, you will question yourself how much the devs value their reputation, and how far will they go to pursue their dreams." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbIi_g-6A9U Rating: 0.5 / 10
"Please note that this state of the game is a complete version and may never change, meaning the planned changes above may never be added." This line is taken directly from the Steam store page. You should read it as "Please note we shipped our pre-pre-beta right before Greenlight died and we will never look at it again". There isn't a game here, just some Unity assets and ten minutes of your life that you will never get back. The $5.99 list price is about $5.94 more than Bunker 58 is worth and I'm including the value of the badly drawn Steam trading cards in that calculation. Don't. Just don't.

Great Game xD
I thought the 'about 10 enemies in an otherwise empty asset pack map' sub-genre of games has died with Lost Base Escape, but here we are. I like Unity Bunker or whatever this pack is called, but this indecent. The store page at least notes that it's 15 minutes & that they may never update it. I don't remember Lost Base Escape admitting that, but at least it or like Near Midnight had the dency to have an ending screen when you had finished with the "content", this along the lines of Bold New World where you are just left wondering whether you've done the wrong thing or we're here again in the Jim Sterling wheelhouse; we'll we are there & they even wedged in stamina nonsense. Dire.
Bunker 58 is an indie horror game that I would not recommend playing. For starters, the goal of the game apart from survival, is clearly nonexistent. I’ve spend much of my time exploring, and killing mobs of zombies – but to no end or progress is being shown. Exploration is also useless, when 50% of the time you are collecting items from the bodies of zombies that you kill. The other half is the frustration of encountering the many bugs and glitches present. The ones I’ve found include: -Spawning with an empty inventory (losing all items you had originally started with) after your 1st death -Spawning in the middle of the zombies that were and will be attacking you again -Finding objective-like items such as keys, cans and other items that can NOT be picked up -Finding weapons (ie. A shotgun) but being unable to equip them in your current set-up -Glitched items, notably the plate covering the vents in the hallway with the large fans. -Scary sound effects being triggered at the wrong time. To be fair, the only portion that was done at least half-decently were the menu-screen and the environment. There were many turns and narrow paths within the area, which would make any player take extra caution. You just never know what’s around the corner.
Or well, you can probably guess that it’d be a zombie or few.
The controls were all clearly established, as well, on the top right of the screen in game. But even these were not enough to disregard the many errors present. It’s a shame the developers had also included the note of “state of the game is a complete version and may never change, […]”. Any of the issues mentioned above may never be fixed. Hence, why I do not recommend trying out Bunker 58.
I would not recommend Bunker 58 at all.
So it's a well known fact that Bunker 58 sucks, but few reviews on Steam go to tell you why you shouldn't actually buy this unfinished, abandoned piece of crap. The publisher/developer, Acuze Interactives, decided to dump this game onto Steam like a prom night dumpster baby one day after Greenlight was abolished. It's very clear that this is a pre-pre-pre-pre alpha state for the title, and seeing as it has been like this sine 2017 there is little to no hope that any update will come. There's roughly 10 minutes of content; that's being generous, because you'll just end up backtracking for a good portion of that time to see if there's something you've missed. You'll start out with a torch, a bow, and two guns with no ammo indicators; protip: the ammo isn't actually unlimited. Two zombies with horrible AI will bum rush you right away, but they'll just speed by your room. You'll kill them, move on, kill a few more zombies, find a floating battery/can, see a couple jumpscares, find a floating key, and come to an abrupt end with a floating locker door covering a grate that can't be used. Assuming you missed something, you'll double back and try to smash that E key until you physically can reach into the game and grab that floating key, but alas it's all for naught. Bunker 58 is yet another prime example of how Valve don't bother to clean up their store. This is a game with 10 minutes of "content" that's clearly just one tiny unfinished fragment of something that was initially meant to be much larger. Sure, there's the refund system in place, but what developers like this thrive on are gamers who will throw titles like this into their cart when they're on sale for a few cents and then completely forget about it. Anyone that actually cared about what they put out into the world wouldn't leave this up for two years.
Rating: 0.0/5.0 - WARNING. Scam developer.
