About

You are in charge of the last remnants of free people on the Ursee, tasked with building a new home. Carve your path onto a world, tower by tower, wall by wall, sculpting from the daunting cliffs and perilous waters of an unforgiving landscape that refuses to be tamed.
Design fantastic ocean fortress settlements. Progress is simple, grow the populations of various factions and you will progress on their Soultrees. Unlocking commanders and captains that may work for you, unlocking new ships, units and abilities.
Bulwark - Explore the Great Ursee as you build your grand civilisation. Scavenge for resources, create trade routes and strike alliances with other factions scattered across the waves as you balance negotiation and conflict to grow your settlement.
Freebuild - Enjoy a cosy ‘Freebuild Mode’, devoid of the conflict and challenges present in standard play, you can sketch and experiment without the need for resources, building without limits.
Total Conquest - War has come to the Great Ursee. You start at war with every faction, diplomacy is disabled and the frequency and scale of raids is ramped up. It is no longer enough to just build - now you must survive.
Wood, stone and Iron aren’t stored or tallied up, the only thing that counts is distance, not cost. You transport resources along your network of towers as well as trading routes over the sea. Towers and walls within range of the resource can be upgraded and built for free, those out of range cannot.
The currency that powers diplomacy, army building, buying new locations and unique buildings is separate from resources, it runs on a currency called, Splinters. You gain these through population growth, trade with other factions or as rewards from combat.
The game challenges you to design and grow grand fortresses, often at little cost other than setting up trade routes for resources. As you grow you may invite in populations from other factions which unlock faction unique content from their “soultree”.
But everybody hates everybody on the Ursee and doing so might lead to war or to loyal allies that merge with your empire. This sandbox builder has consequences!

Recomendo ontem, hoje, amanhã...OBRIGADO Tomas Sala, OBRIGADO <3

I've played now for 9 hours and I'm still not sure what is a bug and what is an instance of me not understanding the controls. Let me explain. Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is trying to be minimalistic and elegant in its design. I think it succeeds at this, but I can only say that with a smile on my face after 9 hours of trying to learn to play the game. I was confused most of that time, and I still am. But for better or worse I am one of the individuals who like the game rather than hate it. It's an unconventional game. It claims to be by a solo dev, but I am not sure if I trust that claim. Like, how much of a game do you get to out-source before you can no longer say you are a solo dev. But again, this is not a problem for me. If saying "solo dev" gets the guy more money, then more power to him. As for a serious review: give this title a try. It's unusual, both in the larger context of games but also within its genre. I like the game. It's curious, streamlined, and fun to learn. EDIT: I have received information that the claim of solo dev is legit. It seems the developer has been stacking skills, as well as assets, for a number of years. They described this game as built atop others. It's fascinating to read about. I'd like to thank the developer for their kind indulgence in responding to my review, and of course I'd like to apologize for any offense given by my other comments in this review. I'm much obliged, sorry.
Pretty good game, with a lot of potential. A simple, but solid, city builder with combat and exploration, the world itself is the passion project of a Solo Dev, and the game reflects that, with a clear vision connecting the titles in the Falconeer franchise, with the world itself, Ursee, providing a fresh take on older fantasy staples, with the comparisons with Ursula Le Guin's EarthSea Trilogy being very apt. Some of the upcoming content also look to add even more to the game, and it's absolutely worth picking up, especially for when you're looking to relax.
A very good sandbox with quick progression. You can complete a save in 6 hours if you know what you're doing. Ultimately it is a Numbers-Go-Up game, as the economy is simplistic for the time being. But allows for building a trade empire if you so wish. Artistically very unique. Astounding soundtrack. The lore is rich, as it's a pseudo sequel to the dev's previous game. Most content is free with every update, with what you can buy being more cosmetic than anything. The download is tiny, and system requirements are miniscule. Overall very solid. Highly recommended for someone who wants a chillout game after work.
Controls are not really that intuitive, the architecture and visuals look really good, until you realize you have no design control over it, at least in the early game, besides connecting buildings and upgrading them. The aerial combat is pretty slow and not that engaging. But it does have an overall charm to it, not really my cup of tea, but I can appreciate the effort the solo dev put into it. He even responds to reviews, actually looking for feedbacks, which is more important than "it's not my type of game, I just got it on a mystery bundle". So I'm changing my review from negative to positive, even if I didn't enjoy my time with Bulwark, mainly boring for me, not bad. You like this game? Good. You'll be in good and caring hands.
Skies carved into war Stone bulwarks ride falcon winds Empires drift and fall
It has just enough challenge to keep you engaged while still remaining pretty chill and relaxing! The mechanics are very well thought and the visuals very cool! The developer keeps updating so game so that's also very appreciable.
Outstanding hidden gem game. A LOT of fun once you figure out how to build properly. The settlements are just beautiful. The game gets unwieldy, however, once you build a massive, thriving settlement are are constantly dealing with captain and commander shortages.
