Got my copy from a friend. General Thoughts: A fun and simple top-down arcade shooter that has some vampire-survivor-like systems, but does not really go that deep (abilities, collect brains for XP in matches, skill tree, different characters). The map flow changed up pretty nicely to where it was not always an arena style fight. Missions were simple, along with the characters weapons. However, players only had access to 1 special ability. Furthermore, their was no vacuum XP which means a lot of brain pickups were left to... rot. Ok, I'll see myself out for that one xD Combat & Missions: On average, the missions take about 7 mins to beat and are easy to 3 star+vials. Endless survival is set for 5 mins to 3 star, and the longest run I had was almost 12 mins. To be honest, the training ground SMG and revolver were the most difficult for me. It does provide some challenge overall, and the balance didn't feel unfair. Players will be dashing more then sprinting, and holding down the fire button. Also praying to RNJesus for perks. Co-OP: Did not do as I was a full solo. Bugs: At the moment, 2 achievements are bugged for me, and the game is not a big fan of alt-tabbing. Otherwise, it worked great. Final Thoughts: I have 100% completed the game doing everything. Steam says it took me 6.2 hours to do this. However, I am use to playing these types of games. The game-play loop did start to get a little stale, but it did not overstay its welcome which is nice. Endgame content is on the light side of things, which is basically just the endless survival mode if you beat everything else. Overall, it's a nice game that does shake things up a little bit for top-down shooters.
So far I find the game very entertaining! I've played it with my boyfriend in local coop and we really enjoyed it. It has simple but engaging mechanics. I recommend!
I enjoyed it, but would give the game a mixed rating if there was one. There are some major performance issues that pop up occassionaly with heavy amounts of slow-down present during the final boss. The performance problems persist on Steam Deck and my PC with a 3070 GPU. Also, having a roster of characters sharing a single super move is super lame. It's fun, but hopefully there is some post launch support to clean up the issues.
The developers really managed to strike the perfect balance with this one: the gameplay is frantic but not overwhelming; features and upgrades offer depth and replayability without being overly complicated and tedious; in the moments of absolute chaos on screen you can still tell what's going on; it's style is fun while still grotesque in a way, the screen is filled with all kinds of zombies, particles, effect and yet it runs smoothly, etc. I'm at the point where things started heating up story wise, I'm definitely dying more often, ... can't stop now!
Fun, engaging and fast-paced. Had good fun so far. Couch COOP mode is a blast!
Pretty fun game. Had an honor to try it on Reboot Infogamer and LOVED IT! Now it's time to rock it co-op with my boys!
Eines von vielen und meiner Meinung nach für den Inhalt das Geld nicht wert.
