Built to Scale Solitaire

Rhythm Heaven fans so desperate for a new game that we playing a legally distinct solitaire spinoff of a fangame (and it's peak)

edit: double-click and more highlight options got patched in. an actually free solitaire, open-source even, no dlc or other ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because it wasn't made by subsoap, and it's put together relatively well too. mouse-based obviously, double-click to move to foundation was patched in, with hotkeys for the menu, the help screen and to skip the dealing animation, but keyboard also works. never heard anyone wanting to play solitaire without a mouse but the more options the better. the clue's in the name, but as the how to play screen (and me now) explains, you have to build the 1-7 cards by suit and in ascending order on the side. only alternating suits in a descending order can be moved, plus nuts and rods together, as long as they're the same suit and are alternating. they can be assembled in one of the 3 free cells on top, locking that cell for good. the ultimate goal is to build all 3 scales and assemble the 3 widgets. basically, it's spider meets freecell meets... nuts and rods for some reason. settings are plentiful and available anytime. separate volumes with music selection unlocked after a win (there are only 2 tracks and you'll likely get sick of the first by the time you win). resolutions, windowed mode, vsync and fps limit. [b]click & drag and click-click control method, plus toggles for the move counter, the timer[/b], the mouse cursor (originally only arrow & highlight, which I found intrusive, but a highlight-only option got patched in) and the how to play button. there's also a stats screen. card skins (well, another one) are unlocked after a win as well instead of your wallet because again, it wasn't made by subsoap. what's missing after the highlight tweak and double-click patch is seeds to try the same deal again or share it with others. plus undo, a hint/available moves button, an 'only solvable deals' setting and mid-level saving. [b]no saving and/or undo are usually dealbreakers but this is such a throwaway game they aren't as crucial[/b], so despite room for improvement, it just about gets a thumbs up.
