This game has some really great potential. However actually connecting pieces together is a bit wonky and cumbersome, and the blocks don't stay together well enough to actually build a structure. they are too fragile. the slightest bump and your pieces disconnect. if this problem gets fixed i could literally play this for hours on end. if and when they fix it this game will be 20 times worth its 3.99 price tag
Experienced on Windows Mixed Reality, Samsung Odyssey +
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program You can watch my gameplay and initial impressions review here: https://youtu.be/qkHO8Tw6fM4 This has a lot of potential. A game that I have always wanted to be done in VR. A Lego (or lego clone) building construction kit for VR. Where the only thing limiting what I can build is my own imagination. I've seen a few attempts by other devs to make this game, but none have succeeded, except for maybe Google Blocks (although it's not quite Lego blocks). What sets this app / game apart from the rest is that there are special pieces that move / rotate. So you can build a vehicle and watch the wheels spin and see the vehicle move forward. It's pretty cool. Unfortunately, at this time, you are not able to control the movement, it just goes forward. While the above is super cool and the game / app has loads of potential, it also has various missteps. My biggest criticism of the game / app is that pieces do not lock into place. You can technically put pieces together, but they don't stay together, especially if anything touches it as they will quickly fall apart. See my video for this in action. Other issues is that the only form of locomotion is teleportation. There is no smooth or snap turning. There is no magnet hands so you have to physically reach down to pick up pieces. You only have one ugly environment to work in where the green all around makes it hard to tell where the floor is, especially when there are no pieces setting a shadow on the floor. There is an invisible boundary as well and yes your pieces can roll past that boundary with you having no option to retrieve them when they go past the boundary. You can save your pieces though. You can load them and they will reset where you are. However, the menu UI is clunky as it's just blocks on your hand that you touch. It's very easy to get the wrong pieces. And the physics is very wonky, items will clip through each other and the ground and go flying out of reach. I think the game as is, needs a lot of work before I could recommend it. However, it has loads of potential. It is only $4 USD though, so it may be worth the gamble for some to support the dev. I hope they keep improving this game / app. Rate 5/10.
It is very difficult to build something good here, but the idea is brilliant. Here is my suggestion to the developers (it may be convenient). 1. During placement, the brick should not affect other objects, the physics should be aplieid when you release the object. 2. It should be possible to set the bond strength (or just different connectors solid / flexible / brittle). 3. The wheels should be stiffer along their axles (there were times when I let go of the ramp with the wheels installed, and the wheels break off when they hit the ground)
This game could have potential however it is very glitchy. I also don't like that the pieces don't stay together. when building something complex ( more than three + pieces) the pieces detach and fall to the ground. My 8 year old, who loves building things (self proclaimed minecraft master) lost interest in this game in about 30 minutes. his reason " the pieces don't do what i want them to do" When the logic of the game is to build something then the pieces should stay together. Should have a glue or lock function so they don't come apart. At this point I can't recommend this game to anyone it needs some work.
no jungle. pretty bad
The game would have been playable if had it not been for the hands/gloves shaking all the time. When you pick up a block the entire block shakes along with your hands/gloves . What's going on ? This is a major bug. Since the game can't be played with it shaking like this I'm returning the game.
Oh no. Why would you pay for this.
