Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Aug 22 → 3.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Honestly, on sale this is a great game to pick up. It's short, to the point, has interesting side characters and an interesting story. Doesn't dig too deep into the topics it's covering, but they convey the points they're trying to effectively with the how upfront they are about them. The overall gameplay itself is fun, nothing overly complicated, a few bugsnax were confusing on how to catch and had to google it, but I think that's more of me lacking creativity on how to use all my tools than poor game design. Overall, fun, simple game that has a lot of charm.

I have mixed feelings about this game. It was a relatively chill and very colourful game with good character development for a few of its characters (namely Snorpy, Triffany and perhaps Wiggle, with the large majority seeing only swift development/resolution at the very end during the last quest). The relationships between pairs of characters (and seeing them reconcile with each other) was where things really shone throughout the game, and I appreciated the representation of both gay and lesbian relationships. The voice acting was great; I really enjoyed Wiggle and her singing or sing-talking haha. The animations were okay but could have been a lot better. The system where you get to turn everyone into grotesque food abominations was fun, although annoyingly I couldn't get the Feeding Frenzy achievement to trigger. Gameplay wise it was fairly clunky and tedious at times, the boss fights kinda sucked, and many of the quests were quite boring. First off, you can't really die in this game, or fail to my knowledge; at worst the screen goes black and you immediately resume nearby, this suits the tone of the game fine. Instead, the worst that happens is just having to set up a trap again.. and again.. and again.. while the Bugsnax creatures endlessly chant their names like Pokémon, until you mute the game and figure it out yourself or capitulate and look up a guide on how to capture them on YouTube - I will admit there are some very creative uses of the traps in this game, I just got frustrated because the attempted solutions that seemed logical to me had zero effect on the Bugsnax. The frustration comes with how inconsistent the traps felt (in their radius of effect, mainly, and the aggro/attraction range of bugsnax), and how difficult it was to lead certain Bugsnax to where you want them to go (either by marking breadcrumbs with your slingshot, or leading them with a sauced up Buggy Ball). There are honestly too many quests in this game, like I was genuinely overwhelmed by the constant influx in my letterbox, not knowing when it was going to end; I'd much rather they'd focused on variety and quality over sheer quantity. A lot of them are fetch quests or require you to repeat content you've already completed; fortunately, however, if you've satisfied the requirements in advance you immediately complete the quest, which happened a lot for me. Hilariously, I only discovered you could fast travel (from anywhere to the start of any biome you'd visited before) like 6 hours into playing, and by that point I'd gotten VERY tired of running back and forth to grab bugsnax I'd already collected a half dozen times before.
