I'm not really sure if Bug Killers is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the Russian developer behind this, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. It's yet another of literally hundreds of lazy amateur 2D retro top-down shooter/brawlers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere. This one seems like it was designed for mobile app stores or something, with simplistic graphics and weak gameplay, perfect for iPhone gamers, who can't handle anything more strenuous. You should a bunch of 6 legged spider assets in waves, and collect coins which you can spend on pointless upgrades. Yawn. At least you can drop down turrets. That's kinda cool I guess. Shame every other game that lets you drop turrets is much better than this. On the upside, the game does feature customisable controls and resolution, so at least some of the basic, minimum requirements have been met. Unfortunately there's a number of other technical defects and shortcomings which contribute to the game being difficult to recommend to gamers. The game features low-polygon "retro" assets with cartoony, mobile app style shader effects, making this look like a barely functional mobile app from 15 years ago. This visual style is a method that lazy devs often use when they have a lack of interest/capabilty to create highly detailed, high poly models and instead use shader effects to disguise that shortcoming under the name of "art", or "We made it look bad on purpose", which really isn't something gamers should have to put up with. It's unclear why the developers weren't willing to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets and high resolution textures for the game. It's far below the state of the art visuals gamers expect as a result of their decisions. This looks and feels like a mobile app, but I wasn't able to find it on the app stores. Maybe it was removed, maybe it was rejected by Apple and Google (they do have more rigorous quality standards than Valve does for Steam, after all). Regardless, for all intents and purposes Bug Killers might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money building gaming rigs so we can pretend they're iPhones and play games that might as well be mobile apps. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. The poor quality of this game is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 5 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Bug Killers is relatively cheap at $2 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, this is impossible to recommend. Because this is the kind of game you can just play for free on mobile phones, it's impossible to recommend anyone should pay money for the same experience on Steam. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
Nice shooter! This is a game with a dynamic and quite addictive gameplay with nice graphics. You have one goal is to destroy the bugs-mutants. In survival mode you play alone. You are attacked by bugs in waves with increasing complexity. Consumables in the form of turrets, mines and grenades will help you stay alive longer. With the help of a more powerful gun I think the pumping will go faster. In multiplayer you shoot bugs and other players. The maps in the game are not large. This game leaves a very positive impression.
esse jogo é uma MERDA mal otimizado o sistema de tiro é HORRÍVEL e as armas são igual o sistema de tiro, HORRÍVEL só tenho esse jogo porque eu ganhei ele num site
This game makes me angry. I'm a lesser man for having played it.
10/10 bugs have been killed, worth more in my opinion
GREAT GAME FULLY RECOMMENDED
I don't know how I can lose connection to a server when I'm playing PvE but that happened pretty damn frequently and it made playing this already miserable game even worse. This garbage shooter/survival game isn't worth $5, it wouldn't be worth your time if it were free.
