Remember the legendary Book "Treasure Island"? The Hunt for the Treasure of Captain Flint? Yes i know, most Pirate Movies are About Hunting Treasure. But what if it is the other way around? What if you have to bury your Treasure? Welcome to BUCCANEER´S BOOTY! Sokoban, i loooove Sokoban. The first Sokoban Game came out in 1982 and was created by Hiroyuki Imabayashi. BUCCANEER´S BOOTY is a very nice Sokoban Game. In Sokoban you have to push Things (Mostly Boxes) to target destinations. You can only push it, so one wrong push and it can be stucked and you have to start over again. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3762723405 In BUCCANEER´S BOOTY you have to push your Teasure Chests into the digging places and then return to your ship to go to the next Level. The Game starts very easy and the Difficulty is slowly rising from Level to Level. While at the beginning you just push the boxes into their holes, later on obstacles like barrels or statues appear that block your way. If possible, you can push the obstacles into the water or break barrels pushing them against sharp rocks. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3762721951 A very interesting mechanic is that there are treasure chests you can walk over if they're in a hole (since we can't just cross holes normally) and treasure chests that have a tree on them and can't be crossed when they're in a hole. So you really have to think carefully about which treasure chest you move where. Later on, the landscape changes and cannons are added that can be used to remove obstacles, but be careful, they can also destroy treasure chests, which makes our pirate cry. BUCCANEER´S BOOTY has really charming Graphics and also a really charming Soundtrack that fits wonderfull in. Die Controls (Keys) are really fluid and nice done. You can choose between a Pirate Character or a Frog Character. What i really like is, sometimes you get to a level, see so many things, and think of the most complex ways to beat it, and in the end it's super easy, and some things on the screen were just there to confuse you. Really nice done. So 40 Islands are waiting for your Treasure to be buried. This may be one of Many Sokoban Games out there but this has it´s own charm and clever Mechanics. Not to easy, not to hard, always fair.
