About
Join Bubsy on a new, intergalactic, platforming adventure! Yeah, we couldn’t believe it either. The world’s most infamous, wise-cracking bobcat has returned to 3D with new challenges, new moves, and even more purrsonality – in space! Run, jump, glide, and roll across alien planets, battle robotic sheep, and collect tons and tons of yarn. What could possibly go wrong?
Bubsy’s longstanding enemies, the fleece-obsessed Woolies, have stolen all of the Earth’s sheep. Oh well, that ain’t Bubsy’s problem. Until the sheep overthrow their captors and return as deadly BaaBots, empowered by Woolie technology, determined to steal Bubsy’s most prized possession, The Golden Fleece.
With the help of his motley crew of acquaintances, Bubsy must journey through space to defeat the BaaBots and take back the Golden Fleece. Luckily, he’s acquired some new skills to navigate the expansive, craft-themed levels. Bubsy can leap, glide, claw his way up walls, and pounce off enemies. He can also puff up into a new hairball form to roll at blistering speeds.
The team at Fabraz crafted this expressive new moveset to cater to beginners and speedrun enthusiasts alike. Once you’ve mastered Bubsy’s clawsome new moves, show off your skills by uploading your best level times to the online leaderboards for other players to race against!
- Explore intergalactic, craft-themed worlds, each ending in a BaaBot boss battle
- New hairball form allows you to roll, bounce, and launch your way around
- An expressive platforming moveset supports both beginner and advanced levels of play
- Spend yarn to purrchase stylish new outfits, or collect a hidden blueprint in each level to unlock new moves and upgrades
- Tackle each level’s time trial, upload your best run, and race against other players’ ghost data
- Chat with a cast of furmiliar friends including Terri, Terry, Virgil, and Oblivia
- Pawsitively funky soundtrack by Fat Bard, incorporating elements of jazz, big band, electro-swing and more

A 3D platformer where you are given such freedom of movement that you can ignore most of the level design, which is a pro and a con. It is fun to figure out what sort of janky nonsense you can do to bypass seemingly required progression. At the same time, individual levels don't feel as unique or memorable when you're mostly interacting with the movement instead of interacting with the obstacles themselves. Still, thumbs up overall. Priced right with a good sense of humor, good tunes, leaderboards for time trials, and neat unlockables.
For being a BUBSY game, this is honestly the first time they made one that's actually good! I wouldn't say it does anything ground-breaking, it's pretty short but if you just want a pretty safe, light-hearted platformer, it's a good buy.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

My favorite 3D platformer on Steam, straight-up. Can't be topped. Feels like a triple-A Nintendo game, even better fluidity and more rewarding too. Bubsy is a total dork and cute, too. The much-needed redesign was 100% worth it. Honestly be prepared for good-ass platforming parkour and all that. Maybe too corny even for me, but if you used to root exclusively for Nintendo, it's like being taken back to that cringey over-the-top cartoony style again. Without needing Mario or Sonic. Hell yeah.
It's actually a good Bubsy game!?
actually best bubsy game
el juego esta bastante entretenido,y por mas que no sea perfecto, para alguien como yo que nunca juega plataformeros este me gusto bastante y lo recomendaria para aquellos que quieran un juego corto y que no requiera una cantidad exagerada de habilidad
Its 2026 and Bubsy has more game than most old IPs. If you like platformers its a must try at minimum. My only complaint is that there's only 15 stages, they're all decently sized but for how good the game is I was left wanting more.
Jolly good fun for a bubsy game, i was excited to play this fully since the demo came out, i like it alot
it's my yearly bout of mindcrushing late summer depression, and i get to choose the self-medication. certainly the mechanically shallowest fabraz effort, and they still imbue it with a feeling of specificity that suggests a tinge of what can only be called Genius. their main girl Beebz is defined by creating chains of mutually exclusive actions with specific relationships to eachother, but there is nothing stopping bubsy from a double jump And a glide And a pounce in any order in any stretch of airtime, and the result is a beautifully lighthearted concoction of hyper-forgiving franticness. the pounce (the equivalent to beebz' "pop" long jump) can and will overshoot numerous times, yet thanks to the glide its rarely to any disastrous consequence. and honestly thats perfect for me rn...there's a lot of encouraging of utterly reckless movement here but plenty of ways to sand off mechanical punishment for it, leaving only the loss of thrilling motion as ur downside and leaving Engaging in the reckless movement much more inviting to approach. this constant stream of Against All Odds screwups and scrambling recoveries imbues bubsy as a Player Character with an appropriately strong ludic personality...in general the way he has been translated i found to be surprisingly detailed and thoughtful, from the re-emphasis on his cat features (in hindsight, very under-used in past iterations of the character!) and the way his brazen but anxious confidence comes out in this mode of platforming play. i inevitably roll my eyes at some of the reference jokes but on the whole i find a lot of warmth in fabraz's late 90s/early 2000s cartoon writing (number one Demon Tides narrative defender clocking in!). the way that the release has gone this has been less a thunderous comeback and more Appreciated In A Pre-existing Niche But Kinda Shrugged Off By Everyone Else and honestly i think that's a fine place for it to be...u dont come to bubsy for the guy who's on top of the world! also i got goonbaited and idc. after all these years i finally understand how straight guys were intended to feel playing as lara croft.
