Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
BrokenLore: LOW is a psychological horror game set in the beautiful Japanese village of Kirisame-mura, where an ancient legend haunts the land: a giant skeleton from Japanese folklore, the Gashadokuro.
GAME OBJECTIVES
➤ Reveal the Roots of Deep-Seated Hatred
➤ Explore the circular, claustrophobic pathway structure of Kirisame Mura
➤ Introduce the Game Loop Structure, symbolizing the unstoppable cycle of tragic events
STORY
Naomi Montgomery arrives at Kirisame Mura for a professional opportunity that promises to launch her music career but instead finds herself facing sinister presences and the cursed secrets of the village. Her story is a journey through time and memory, laying the groundwork for the events narrated in BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW.
The aura of mystery surrounding the village intensifies with the gradual revelation of a dark legend that haunts the town. The legend tells that, at the center of the village, there was an ancient temple, now disappeared, the scene of a tragedy that has cursed all its inhabitants.
GAME ELEMENTS
➤ The game uses realistic graphics, combined with low-poly segments in specific parts.
➤ Statues featured in the game are the works of renowned Italian sculptor Bruno Lucchi.
➤ Developed in collaboration with a psychologist to ensure care and sensitivity toward the player
VILLAGE THEMES
Kirisame Mura is designed to be an enigma in itself, a labyrinth with no exit that symbolizes the cycle of wrong decisions and broken destinies of the protagonist. The game’s structure emphasizes this aspect with an environment that subtly repeats and changes, challenging players to find a way to break the cycle as they delve into the story. Themes of envy, ambition, and failure will be explored.

The game kicks off strong with you running in a straight line back and forth, then you're playing a mini-game where you have to collect 8 notes while being chased by the world's loudest and slowest monster, after that back to walking in a straight line it is,
later you collect candles and the credits roll.
I stuck around, naively thinking it's going to get better but I was wrong. I played a lot of psychological horror games that feel like a walking sim and this one is the rock bottom. On the flip side, the suffering isn't long as the game lasts 1 hour. I'll admit the game has a semi-interesting art direction but everything else about it sucks. I think the name of the game is quite fitting for what it has to offer.
Two stories intertwine like a cruel reflection of a merciless reality. What BrokenLore LOW attempts to tell us is not mere fiction, but something that continues to happen today. Physical and psychological abuse at the hands of a figure of power. A society that looks the other way or, worse, kneels before the abuser. And the desperation of pursuing an imposed dream, a mirage designed to keep us docile, pitting us against each other to compete and be the winners of a mere illusion. Beauty standards turned into dogma, the rejection of those who don't fit in, the social pressure, and the emptiness that devours those who try to be someone in a chaotic society where invisible threads decide the fate of the submissive and the forgotten.
BrokenLore: LOW (2025)
A really atmospheric psychological horror set in a mist covered Japanese village. The Gashadokuro as the main threat is a great choice and the looping labyrinth structure is awesome. The lore is interesting and connects to the other BrokenLore games. Worth checking out if you liked the series.
Ok, so there are a couple of parts that are slightly eerie, but most of what you'll be doing is walking round in circles and occasionally collecting things. I played through twice in 2.5 hrs to get 100% completion, and 45 minutes of that playtime was me watching the Formula 1 and forgetting to turn the game off, so it's very short (which is probably a blessing). If you can pick it up at 95% off in a future sale it'll kill an hour or two I guess.
BrokenLore: LOW, more like BrokenGem
In all seriousness, I do genuinely think this game is a rough gem. It does a lot very well and other things not so well. I saw some reviews saying this game is a walking simulator. That is wrong and quite honestly unfair in my opinion. You walk a lot, sure, but you walk a lot in many games. You have objectives in this game, enemy encounters, fail states and so on. A walking simulator will typically not have any fail states whatsoever. However, I can see why some may view it that way. I believe some people think the game is a walking simulator because it ends as quickly as it begins. I don't mind games being short. In fact, I find myself liking shorter games more and more nowadays. Games can often become tedious if they are too long. On the other hand, a game being too short won't give it enough time to properly bloom. I understand what the story is about afterwards, but I felt confused a few times during the actual gameplay because it moves on so quickly. The level design is quite beautiful and the sound design is phenomenal, with only a few minor flickering textures in a few areas. The game did stutter a bit at one part near the end, but other than that it ran smoothly for me. The switch between a more realistic setting and PS1 graphics was also an interesting choice.
Conclusion
The game needed another hour to properly build the story. The price for the amount of gameplay you get is borderline too high, but I think it was worth my time. I enjoyed it. It wasn't fantastic, but I appreciate the effort the developers put into this. Worth a try, I would say.
Short Horror Walking Simulator peppered with some small action parts and a serious background story. Not as scary as I had thought and that was quite a good thing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIvlBIWFmZM
Game of the year!
