BRINK Traveler

I first bought BRINK for standalone Quest 2. It was good enough to get me to buy it again on Steam. If it's good enough for me to buy twice then it's good enough for you to buy once.

I have to say for a travel VR, it's pretty cool. But see limited use except for schools and the occasional random interest. I think this would be a good buy and hold for under $5, but for $10, I'm just not drawn in. Again only giving a negative review I feel based on the price. Also I would like to see more graphics options for this price.

Sehr schön gemacht. Man kann sich tolle Orte in VR anschauen. Ok, der Radius in dem man sich bewegen kann ist sehr klein, aber dennoch ausreichend um sich ein Bild über die Location zu machen. Auflösung der Phototexturen sind zwischen gut und Spitze. Mit der Pimax Crystal sieht alles sehr scharf aus. Von mir gibt es eine klare Empfehlung.

Really nice app, beatifull locations. The developers are helpfull and friendly. The experience has had a lot of love and updates. Well worth the money.

Really high quality photogrammetry, holds up well at full pimax micro oled resolution. A lot of effort has gone into the interface, info and guide. Definitely worth the price, especially considering its almost 5 years old and still released updates last december.

(EDIT: The developers fixed the main problem listed below! Thank You developers! Second Edit: As I mentioned below I like to use nature applications to unwind. Well along with this game I recommend another game I came across not too long ago: Lushfoil Photography.) I "highly" recommend this game! I will elaborate why that is in quotation marks, and in turn why I am not recommending it outright. First I need to add a preface. I like to unwind in the evening, and or at night before I go to bed. In the past I mainly used to read, watch movies & shows, or play video games. With the advent of VR I started to use that more, and more over everything else. Now I like to relax with several nature, and outdoors VR applications. So Nature Treks, Kayak VR: Mirage, Blue Planet VR, Google Earth, etc... As well as watch 4K nature walk videos on Youtube. Well a few months back, out of the blue, I suddenly have had no internet access in the evening, and at night, from time to time. Well normally that would be no problem, and I can just play these nature games/applications in VR. Well, for what ever reason, only a few locations are accessible in this application offline. I reached out to the developers, and they informed me that this is a bug that they are trying to fix. That being said, when I do get internet access again, all of a sudden all of these different locations need to be updated. For the most part that is with a few exceptions. Oh yeah I should explain that. This application has a ton of locations, and these developers are adding more as time goes on for free! Which is a major upside for this application! Not only that some of these locations have additional areas you can visit, and the developers have even gone back and added new areas to previous locations! Anyways when you use the application you press a button, that opens up a menu, which has a bunch of photos going from left to right. You press these photos, with your controller, and it brings up info on the location, and an option to download it. Since I have encountered this bug, when I go back online, I have to update most of these locations, again, and again. The developers have insisted that this is not a form of DRM, and I believe them. The reason why is because I noticed something after talking to these developers. Each time I have to update these locations, again, my game folder is suddenly getting larger, and larger in size... Therefore if you are in a similar situation as me. Where you don't always have internet access, and or you are charged by how much you download, then you might want to hold off buying this game. Or if you do buy it then this is something to keep in mind. Right now, with my current internet provider, it is simply a monthly fee with unlimited use. In the past however, with my last provider, they charged for each Gigabyte downloaded... Updating most of these areas, each time, can add up to a lot overall. On the low end it is around 300 Megabytes for one location, and on the high end it is around a Gigabyte for a location... So yeah. That is the major problem this application is facing. Now if the things I mentioned are not applicable to you then by all means buy this game!!!! It is my favorite nature application!!!!

Excellent game

Amazing vistas, and a great way for homebound people to travel the world. Love the updates and improvements. The noclip/flying mode cheat should be an easily accessible option in the settings menu. You can actually take a few steps outside the boundary and still get a quite detailed environment. It's also nice to look at the detailed hot spots from the outside.
