Okay, so first off...this game is $8 regular and I got it for $2...and I see so many negative reviews why? I read a few of the negatives, most I feel are nonsense. Even for $8 I am not expecting a whole lot and consider it a gamble. Only real negative aspects that I found annoying was misplaced guide markers for the quests (if that is what the markers was for...never really figured if I was doing the quests or not) and when I dragged a weapon to the quick bar to have it at the ready, I would have to do this each time to switch between melee and ranged. To this, my mindset reverts back to "For $8 am I really going to cry over it?" (No...and I am sure most waste more money on a bottle of soda...). Graphics are like that of an older style game like Diablo (the first maybe), but again...how many pixel games out there now when we literally have games that look realistic? Game play was fine, keeping it simple...a step up from point and click. The dialog was nothing to really brag about, but more the presentation that brings it down than the actual content. At this point, I have played about 1.5 hours and am plenty content with this and my recommending the title. I think that while people may make their reviews looking all fancy and sophisticated...in the end they are crap reviews from narrow perspectives.
For a game by one dev, absolutely worth the sale price I paid. Ran into a bug where the same NPC was meant to fix my boat and tell me about a quest - this broke him entirely and locked me out of the first quest. You need the boat to do any further quests. Started another playthrough and was super annoyed that you can't exit dialogue and just menu'd to reset the long convo i'd accidentally restarted. This bricked my second playthrough entirely as I could no longer talk to NPC's So yes it's fun, and yes there are probably 8 hours of fun content to be had. That being said, it's very early and 1 dev, so it's janky and there are game breaking bugs. If you have patience, this is a good find! Plays smooth. Also, I couldn't even get building going because the roof was fully bugged :P There is potential, but it's buggy.
Challenging and fun. Still some work to do but playable and fun. Not encountered the bugs others have but good game. Lots of things could come from this game but it has a single developer so it will take time and that is understandable.
I got this game on sale for $2. I honestly don't think it was worth that. The game bugged out almost immediately, and I ran backwards no matter which way my camera was facing. The aiming of the bow was off, as the arrow came out from the front of the bow, and since I was facing the wrong way, the arrow's flight path was weird. I'm guessing this is abandonware, as there hasn't been an update since October of 2023 as of the time of this writing (June 2024). I'm not going to refund the game, as it was only $2. Perhaps the developer will actually do something with it. But I can't recommend the game at all.
Not even worth the $1.59 I spent
Abandoned game. Unfinished and not worth buying at any price.
Flawed game. No update or fixes in 8 months. Game starts off fine. Build menu seems to not work properly, was somehow jumping from basic crafting to advanced crafting as well as lvl 1 - 3 town? Being unable to build anything besides the basic campfire I got screwed at nightfall with lots of nearby spawn. Not. fun.
Too bad that this game is terrible. It starts off very fun and you are able to craft stuff, but once you trigger some enemies, more enemies follow you forever. They kill you instantly because of the high level enemies in a low starting off area. This game could have been a gem, but seems like the devs hav not even updated in over a year. Too bad these games go nowhere. If the devs ever update this and make this an actual fun game, I would think that this could be a hit. Seems to have a good crafting system and good mechanics, but couldn't craft much as I had 10 enemies on me and would not let me go.
Brinefall very nice game, gathering of resources, building your village, fight monsters when exploring I recommend the game because of its potential I look forward to the future updates
So Very incomplete, It had potential, but the devs just got tired and said here done. It could have done a Diablo/town builder but nope you can see 20 mins into this game they were done, Heck the Demo was more flushed out then this, I remember the mobs/NPCs having well at least to say some brain's. now see I wanted to return it but after I used it and well saw how broken it really was I was past the 1hr return, I think that games set a hard grind point so that for 1 hr your stuck so you cant return the pile of worthless code. Now if by some chance they work on this game and fix the bugs I'd change my review but I doubt they will, so look for short don't get this game it crud.
