The leveling is grindy and tedious. Apart from that its enjoyable.

if you somehow hate everything that makes osrs osrs, play this~! worse grind with less character or really any reason to exist
This game just feels disconnected, I don't feel like there are enough quests to make me fall in love with a realm, and there seems to be a lack of players for me to enjoy a mmorg with.
I want to recommend this game to people: I think graphically it's very nice and the skill activities are enjoyable. The combat however is atrocious: the damage calculations work in such a way that even fighting enemies multiple levels lower than you can still result in you losing. Gear also doesn't feel intuitive. Level of gear only matters on gear of the same rarity, anything of a higher rarity will often times be much better than an item of lower rarity that is significantly higher level. This leads to a loop of fighting lower level enemies to kill them quickly so you can get more rolls for higher rarity items instead of being rewarded for moving up the combat ladder. With combat being such an integral part of progression it makes the game feel more like a teeth grinding chore than an enjoyable experience. Hopefully the promised combat updates can bring it to a point where it feels good and then I can recommend this game whole heartedly.
I personally really enjoy this game. You can tell it is technically very well made, as it runs well on basically any PC. It also looks great, in my opinion, due to the nice art style. I realise that the game misses some more dynamic content, but I personally always enjoyed the basic skill grinding in Runescape/OSRS, and the grinding in this game appeals to me as well. Usually I listen to music or do other stuff on my PC while playing, while slowly making progress. Give it a go if you think you might be interested! I hope the game survives despite the current negative opinions.
Another of those games where I just want the option for a "neutral" review because I don't specifically dislike anything enough to give it a downvote. But I also don't really like it enough to continue playing (and paying) long-term. The graphics are dated-looking in a way that feels nostalgia-driven (fine by me), music is pretty good, the "NPC run" is hilarious, and so are the sassy dialogue options. The map has an interesting aerial POV that I could probably get used to. But the opening quests feel a little generic and fetch-y (we've got a goblin invasion and an archer needs me to find her bow for her while she just stands around? really?) and being auto-booted for inactivity is weird. The general vibe is like meeting a new person who seems approachable enough, but is so bland you couldn't actually imagine yourself as their friend. I might check this out again... maybe... after it's out of Early Access mode.
Better now then it was on launch hopefully it keeps going that direction.
