Features of the Definitve Edition
- Controller not working anymore (other people reported Controller is working but the mapping is wrong) - Bug: Camera Locks and you can't do anything except Quit the game - Bug: Collectibles are either not unlocking or not showing (and causing a camera lock) - Bugged Achievements: On startup various gameplay achievements pop up but don't actually unlock in steam? other people also report achievemtents not unlocking and achievements unlocking at wrong times - Bye bye save game. Best feature of all! The game just randomly corrupts/deletes your savefile so you can enjoy the whole game from the start! How nice :) To be honest I think I would like the game if it was playable but the current state of the game is ridiculous. Apparently most problems came with the last update but I don't get why such trivial completely game breaking bugs are not addressed. The discussions are full of bugreports and problems, the devs stay silent and the last update was over a year ago.
Completely broken on Steam Deck, unfortunately. The tutorial breaks as soon as the rewind function is introduced. ☹️

Originally a mobile game that got ported to PC and it shows. The story is okay, the narrator sounds obnoxious and the puzzles aren't very challenging (the first 7 acts are a cake walk). Can't comment on the free DLC (Theo's Dreams) because the game decided to DELETE MY SAVE FILE WHEN THERE WERE ONLY 2 LEVELS LEFT IN THE FINAL ACT, and I can't access those DLC levels until I complete the main campaign, so F it.
This game is unplayable. I would have refunded but it was cheap and my hope is that my contribution will contribute to a patch sooner, rather than later.
What I was really hoping would be a cute little cat game for me to explore is actually a buggy mess. Not even 20 minutes into the game and I've already experienced the camera no longer being able to be rotated and an infinite loading issue with the first room of the second act, meaning I can't progress. Very disappointed. I'll assume since this game was released in 2020 that the devs have zero interest in fixing it. That aside, the narrator is also annoyingly impatient; stop to look around to check you aren't missing any of the collectables and expect to be scorned for it!
The art is cozy and attractive and the concept is interesting, but sadly it is too buggy to recommend. In the short time I played I encountered bugs requiring several game restarts involving: volume level, achievement proc, camera, win condition detection. If these bugs should be fixed I think the game would be fun.
This is where I wish there was an in-between rating on Steam. I'm basing this on playing through the base campaign, and the gameplay itself is fine. It's a fairly simply straightforward puzzle game with a couple actually difficult puzzles near the end. The graphics aren't high fidelity but they serve their purpose. Now, the problems. The first minor one is that the narrator gets a little obnoxious at times but that's largely preference. The real issues are the bugs. Another small issue is that for some reason the game remembers your card skins between sessions but not your character skin. Also, when I opened the game for the first time I got several in-game achievements that popped as well as a skin that unlocks from getting burned 10 times or something. The in-game pops happened every time I loaded the game, which was not a small number of times because... Interacting with certain collectibles will prevent you from finishing the level and make you unable to interact with the menu forcing you to alt+F4 and starting from your earlier checkpoint. After a certain point, I abandoned getting the collectibles just to finish the game. Though that didn't stop me from accidentally clicking collectibles while trying to rotate the map and sometimes having to quit. TL;DR The game is okay. Just don't get the collectibles.
I do like the game, I do hate having to restart it a lot because of bugs Edit : DO I REALLY JUST LOST MY SAVE ????? Edit 2 : I restarted it all over and wasn't disappointed. Although the bug are really frustrating, the game left me in tears, the story is incredible. Still leaving a negative review because of all of the bugs, but god, it deserve so much more love ngl.
I was torn on whether to recommend this game or not. After doing some of the end-game Theo's Dreams content, I'm confident in not recommending it. I bought the game several years ago. I tried to play it many times but it just wouldn't play on Linux. Then a recent update added Steam Deck support! Great, I would finally get to solve puzzles as a cat. A major update after years is a definite point in the developer's favour. The main game wound up being a very mixed bag. The gameplay was limited and almost every "puzzle" was trivial. You choose from several possible moves but, if there are only one or two valid moves, then there's no thinking required. Even worse, you have five available move cards but sometimes a puzzle takes 10+ moves to finish. If you don't know what moves are coming up, it's impossible to plan ahead, making it less puzzle and more blindly hoping things work out. Luckily (due to the limited number of valid moves) that's usually the case. Aside from the puzzles, there's a hidden object search mini game on each map. But you know how many things there are to find, so you just search at the start of each level and you will find every single one by the time you end the game. It's an okay idea which devolved into busy work. The strongest part of the game was the narration which was well-acted and interesting. But it's let down by a fairly poor story which never really explains much and isn't resolved by the end of the game. In fact, the story gets really confusing because the narrator starts out as a normal narrator, then later becomes a character. I'm not sure if it was supposed to be a plot twist but it just didn't make sense and was extremely jarring. That said, I was at least entertained. But then there's the (extra) Theo's Dreams puzzles. I am going through them purely for the achievements. When I started doing them, all the good feelings I got from the narration disappeared as the major flaws with the game became apparent. There is no narration in the extra puzzles, so the gameplay has to stand alone. It simply can't. The early sequences were trivially easy but some of the later ones suffered from massive difficulty spikes. Suddenly I had to try the assist mode and, in at least two places, a walkthrough. Why? Because many mechanics are poorly explained or inconsistent. Once again, we have the impossible situation of planning our moves when there are robots whose pathing is unknown ahead of time. Not to mention moveable blocks that are almost impossible to see and (maybe this is a Steam Deck rendering issue) do not always highlight as selected depending on the camera angle. One puzzle was made of multiple blocks that needed to be moved but you can only see how the blocks possibly move while actually selecting it! It's artificial difficulty from poor controls. In the end, the narration is the strongest aspect of the game but the story and gameplay are both poor. There was some definite potential and a few nice ideas but the implementation was not there.
