it's way too good for a free-to-play horror game
tbh this felt like something I would’ve paid to play
A free-to-play horror game that lasts almost 2 hours, sometimes creepy, sometimes funny, but never boring. You’ll stay hooked the whole time
Pretty fun, charming and fairly short

uh, you spend a lot of time driving in a really slow car with not great directions. by the time you get to the actual liquor store it just gets kinda confusing. game seemed to break when I had to wash the bottles. there's nowhere to wash them and when I set them down they vanished, so like, cool great.
"Brews & Blood: Origin" is a low key asset flip, a bunch of other people's assets assembled badly to make a basic game, typically this kind of thing is done by amateur developers without sufficient budget, talent and/or staff to do the job of game development professionally. It's then quickly rushed into Steam Direct. And, unsurprisingly, this never results in a product with any quality, interest, or value for gamers. This asset flip helps to lift up the presence of the BRICS countries in filling Steam with asset flip garbage... of course most asset flips are from Russia, and while Turkey isn't a BRICS country, they do their part too... India is remarkably an underperformer in the BRICS mission to pollute Steam with garbage, but they are trying, and "Brews & Blood: Origin" is proof that India hasn't given up on doing their part. This asset flip is your typical first person horror adventure game, and has you drive a car asset to a liquor store made up of some more assets, where you do a few jobs like washing bottle assets (frankly removing the horror elements and making this a tycoon game might work better), until the horror bit kicks in and you have to drive home. Whatever.. a poor idea for a game, asset flipped badly. Wait a second, why are you washing bottles in a liquor store? You just sell them. You don't make the liquor in the shop. The beer gets bought, drunk, and the bottles get thrown into the Ganges. So, the game might look better than you'd expect from an amateur project, but this is because it's partially or completely made up of stock assets, "borrowed" from asset stores and free asset websites. Very little in this game is truly the creation of the "developer", it's just a bunch of rearranged assets. While there's no up front price for this asset flip, the other problem with asset flips is that when developers aren't capable of doing their job and creating high quality assets, it's also true they can't do any of the rest of the job of a game developer either. That's definitely true for "Brews & Blood: Origin". The optimisation is garbage, and little to no effort went into rearranging other people's assets here. The game is really simple and unambitious in terms of implementation, more of a tech demo or one of those cases where an amateur developer spends $100 to publish something on Steam Direct to see if it's possible. Yes, obviously it's possible. A proof of concept, tech demo, or something that's less than a little blip on the radar isn't offering anything truly valuable to gamers. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? I think it's best to skip this download. While it won't necessarily cost you money, the time and hard drive space it requires could be better invested in one of the many higher-quality alternatives on Steam.
Just beat the game. A retro style horror game where you server some interesting crazy drunk people alcohol from your alcohol shop all while a crazy old lady is trying to kill you. A cool story, fun gameplay and nice colorful holiday lighting with dark spooky roads and nice story.
