About
Breathedge 2 is a humorous survival adventure set in space, following an ordinary Man and his perfectly ordinary space problems. It’s a direct sequel to Breathedge, but don’t worry if you never played the first game: everything will be equally confusing to Breathedge veterans and complete newcomers alike.
The Breathedge Corporation unexpectedly started a galaxy-wide war, built an enormous army of Coffinbots, and attacked the largest human settlements. The Man and his faithful companion, an AI living inside his spacesuit, accidentally derailed the Corporation’s plans for a swift takeover and instantly became the number-one target of every hostile Coffinbot out there. Apparently, fate still wasn’t satisfied. Having barely survived, our heroes suddenly find themselves under attack by their own allies.
Who attacked whom? Who is Babe? Why does the Man need a Chicken? Where were we even going? And what are we supposed to do with all this duct tape? Figuring that out is now your problem.
Breathedge 2 is a story-driven adventure where exploring the world is a major part of the experience. Along the way, you’ll get to know the Man and his crew, learn more about life on the distant fringes of inhabited space, meet new characters, and gradually untangle the forces carving up the galaxy between them.
Explore abandoned stations, ruined settlements, shipwrecks, and plenty of places no reasonable person would ever think of entering. Discover other people’s stories, strange devices, useful junk, and completely useless one-of-a-kind treasures. Some discoveries will be funny, others strange or unsettling, and a few may help you understand what is actually going on and what part you have to play in it.
Hunted from every direction, the heroes of Breathedge 2 are forced to survive in some of the harshest conditions on the fringes of inhabited space. There are no 24-hour stores or banana smoothies out here, but there is an ocean of duct tape, tons of wreckage, and the Man’s remarkably capable hands, ready to turn all that garbage into surprisingly useful contraptions.
Learn new blueprints, craft tools and equipment, and upgrade both your gear and your spacesuit. Repair and dismantle machinery, gather resources, find ways into inaccessible places, and venture farther and farther from anything resembling safety. Out in open space, you’ll need to keep an eye on your oxygen, temperature, and various other little details capable of bringing your adventure to a premature end. Occasionally, you’ll also have to fight, run away, and shove aside the bodies of less fortunate astronauts.
Breathedge 2 is currently in Early Access and is still actively being developed. At the start of Early Access, the game includes its first major story chapter, a large area to explore, and its core gameplay systems. The story is not yet complete, parts of the world are still inaccessible, and some systems will continue to grow and evolve throughout development.
During Early Access, we plan to release major updates that continue the story and add new areas, mechanics, characters, items, and other features. At the same time, we may continue refining existing content, balance, UI, performance, and fixing issues as they are discovered.
Player feedback is an important part of this process. We’re incredibly grateful for your support and for all the comments that give us both inspiration and a fresh perspective on the game. Please keep sharing your feedback with us wherever you can. It helps us make Breathedge 2 even better.

It’s hard to describe this game so far. It’s not bad. It’s… something. 16 dollars for 13 hours of Early Access, and that’s playing slowly. (I still have about half of the Achievements left to unlock, but some of them require a bit of grinding - which is rare - so I’m not sure if I’ll be doing anything more in this game for now.) The game runs flawlessly on Ultra (auto‑assigned by the game) on a 3060 and 16GB RAM - no stutters, VSync On at 165 FPS. It’s hard to tell whether the elements in this game are positives or negatives when looking at the gameplay… World 13 hours in this game - lots of content, but mostly episodic. The story feels somewhat scattered. Even though I was doing the main quests, I constantly felt like I was doing side quests. And there are so many of them that it genuinely feels like the game is made of side quests. That’s not entirely bad - the world is interesting within those side quests - but the sheer variety of them really overshadows the main storyline. The world looks nice. There are plenty of animated elements and characters (except Babe, who seems oddly unwilling to move - maybe that’s just her personality. I didn’t play the first game in the series). A large part of the game is flying around and collecting things, but it’s done well enough that almost everywhere you collect something, there’s something new to experience. And you don’t have to grind tons of materials. Pretty much everything you need for quests you’ll gather during normal exploration. Gathering food takes about 5–10 minutes max, and then you don’t have to worry about it for a long time. Cons? I spent some time figuring out that I could already craft tools - either the option wasn’t available earlier, or I simply didn’t notice the notification that I unlocked a new item. You can’t scroll through the toolbar with the mouse - only with keys 1-0. The SUI is hard to hear. And rather annoying. I searched for barely visible components needed for crafting quest items (I still haven’t found about half of them). The world is interesting, but not that interesting. It feels like it’s built from stereotypes of the real world, and maybe that’s why I’m missing some spark - something less realistic or… something that uses real‑world elements in a more unusual way. In Subnautica you have mysterious things, and even searching for new blueprint fragments gives you some emotion. Here, you’re just a guy recycling stuff and pushing it wherever it fits. In Subnautica it feels like the world surrounds you, maybe even presses on you a bit. Here, I felt like I was strolling around my neighborhood for several hours - calmly, looking around to see if something catches my attention, but without much hope that anything will truly surprise me. And that’s exactly how it went. The humor is rather dry - not laugh‑worthy, more like: “Ah! Yeah. Heh. Good one. I’ve heard that before.” Just like the stereotypes used to build the world. Early Access ends unexpectedly (I didn’t play the Demo), right at the moment where you’d expect to get some kind of “new” mechanic or a cool final quest before the EA cutoff - but instead you’re left standing there, not knowing anything… Stay, go, wander around in circles? Overall The graphics and the variety of side quests made me not feel disappointed while checking out this game. It was fine. It happened. And that’s about it.

If you're not trying to support the Devs, play the DEMO. The DEMO will give you everything the EA has thus far in terms of getting a feel for the game. Content is lax at the moment, and according to the roadmap, won't be padded until 2027. On to commentary about the content: This game lacks the feeling of isolation the first game brought me. likely due to the inclusion of many voiced characters, and direction from said characters. This is fine to me. A sequel shouldn't have to be the same game as the previous title. Changing things up thematically if done properly can widen the scope of the game and make the universe feel more fleshed out. The English Voice acting is abysmal. Especially for Sui. The voice actor seems like they have chops. expression is there. nice volume control, but when speaking an english sentence, many of the words run together, and it becomes difficult to hear actual distinct words. The heart of the game- float around in space and collect items and useless dumb stuff- is still there. it currently doesn't have base building (my biggest disappointment), and the section that is completed definitely needs refinement. I'm a huge fan of the last game. If all of the promised content is delivered, I may become an even bigger fan. TLDR: Only purchase in 2026 if you want to financially support the devs; otherwise, just play the demo to get a feel for the game.
The core loop of the game is changed. The humor is still there alas not as good as first game. This types of game each loop you unlock more stuff and adventure more, the places you didn't see the doors you couldn't open before which breathedge 1 was like but in 2. game it's more like you have all of the stuff go discover some places we put marker on. It was still fun experience until the end i thought the story was finished it was not.
.
For early release, it's a nice start but not being able to find enough food and water has it's distracters. Can't wait to watch it improve and continue the Breathedge 2 journey.
