Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A great example of why RPG's were once considered to be for nerds and avoided by civilized folk. Promptly drops you into the game with not even the faintest semblance of a tutorial, asking you to make permanent mechanical decisions with zero explanation of how anything works or chance to learn the ropes, meaning that if you build your characters wrong you may as well start over. Did I build mine wrong? Or did I just play wrong? Who can say. I got my ass kicked by orcs pretty quickly after combat completely void of feedback except for damage splashes. Did the game "roll" badly behind the scenes? Should I have gone somewhere else first? Did I make characters that could never have won? A mystery that we will never solve. I've also never been made to feel motion sick by a tile-based game before but God, I was ready to throw up after like five minutes of moving around this gameworld. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I'd rather take a long trip in stormy seas than do that again. My childhood gaming was made up of games like this, like Lands of Lore, and in hindsight I wonder why it didn't just make me give up on videogames for good. I guess back then we didn't have or know better, but we do so now. I respect it as a project to revive an ancient cult classic, but I despise it as an actual game.

A great game if you like atmospheric old school games and have triple digit IQ + some patience.
This is definitely old skool as it does not hold your hand at all. While it has an automap (which is nice - it allows adding your own notes) it does not have any quest journal per se, just a "notebook" that some quest information is copied into. It would be nice if the conversations that are important to the overall quest were copied into it as well, but it is an older game and as such doesn't have a lot of the QoL aspects we're used to with newer games. The combat is solid and character development as well. I've only had to go back to an older save once...not because of a bug, but because I spent all my money on training my characters but not on "ghost swords" which are essentially the only way to reasonably kill one of the areas monsters. Not a huge deal as I only lost about an hour, but still a bit frustrating <shrug>. In any case, it's a great little game and fun for what it is. I'm guessing I'm only about half way through. Thankfully there are a couple of guides to help you figure a few things out as there were a couple of tricky/hidden things that would have taken awhile to sort through without them. I think I'm getting lazy/spoiled in my old-er age lol. In any case, if you like older RPGs that don't hold your hand and have a decent amount of detail to them then this is a good buy. It's not expensive either so price shouldn't stop you. I'd give it a solid 7/10. Enjoy!
A good old retro dungeon crawler with turn-based combat system. A game I loved when I was young. This version received some questionable changes, such as the "corpses stay in the party" or the new dual wielding mechanic where DEX substitutes STR, making the game way too easy if you know what you're doing. Speedrunning is still possible. Everything else remained the same as in the original game from 1998, so if you're looking for a modern game, this might not be for you. But if you want nostalgia, or perhaps you are itching for a retro experience, Gates of Skeldal is definitely a good choice.
Awesome game, quite challenging at times, but gives you all the means to overcome those challenges. Lots to discover, but I had to look up one or two puzzles in the guides. Totally recommend it if you liked 90's dungeons crawlers like Lands of Lore.
Hra mého dětství
Classic and suprisingly timeless given how simple in its core it is... cant recommend, there are gamebreaking bugs related to puzzles, that will leave you absolutely clueless and unless youre speaking czech, good luck trying to find a solution on internet... shame. i wont ever recommend broken games the game doesnt explain almost anything, like what those spells you cast actually do... this should be ingame and i shouldnt bother myself googling the simple explanations... while i appreciate the compatibility, it is obvious that the ingame manual should have been part of the game in options.... the combat itself is also a joke, there is clear initiative of all enemies and your characters, but its all random number generator, you will never know how to sequence your turn properly, because it doesnt make any sense, once you start encountering enemies, that will run away from you, you will know what i mean... basically you set actions and then you watch the turn unfold... bartering is so stupid yet so complicated if you look at the numbers behind the process in a guide... basic stat redistribution is also a mystery to me (health, mana) when you make your characters you basically set the for the entire game whether they will gain health or mana... otherwise i cant explain why my 30strength "mage" character still has 35hp while my 35strength "warrior" has 100+... there is ofc no explanation anywhere whatsoever
Not recommended, very overrated for what it is, a basic bare bones blobber with a very basic and amateurish art direction, seems made in MS paint. Very questionable (read wtf) mechanics even a ridiculous (for a blobber) food/water starvation system which is with absolutely bizarre and out of place, your strolling along and a random character starts to die bit by bit like if it were poison, so you guess guy is poisoned, maybe they'll make their saving throw or smt, but guess what it's not poison, character is thirsty, so he loses hit point by hit point till dead, if you try to use all the ♥♥♥♥ you picked up you deduce he was thirsty, good, that was the only water bottle, so 5 steps later another character decides to go thirsty and soon enough everyone dies, seems the game world is a sub-Saharan desert with MS paint trees plastered on the background for esthetic purposes, dev couldn't even bother to make a pdf manual to explain all this ♥♥♥♥. Then you have all the interesting ctd because the programming is obviously stellar. smh. This reissue apparently was freeware until they decided to sell it on steam to those who had bought the original game back in 98 for nostalgia effect, so most of those 50 something reviews seem to remember this product fondly, guess in the former soviet country they were not able to play contemporary games of the time and were evidently starved for games so yeah, I get it, better than nothing I guess. The experience is objectively very poor even as a vintage piece of content, the competition at the time was way ahead, and GoG is chockful of better games, this should have remained freeware. Refunded.
