Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The gameplay is split into two major loops: business management and real-time tactical combat. You must manage trade routes, buy low and sell high across different cities, optimize coal consumption, and hire a reliable crew. During transits, your train will frequently be ambushed by bandits or raiders, shifting the game into a real-time tactical skirmish where you must command your crew to exchange gunfire, extinguish fires, and defend your locomotive, which can be upgraded into a literal fortress on rails.👍 PROS:Unique genre mashup: The fusion of economic trading loops and real-time tactical cabin defense works surprisingly well together.Rich historical atmosphere: Real-world events from the Wild West era and accurate designs of iconic steam machines add great depth to the setting.Deep upgrade systems: Customizing your train feels highly rewarding, allowing you to attach passenger cars, cargo holds, steel armor, and heavy weaponry.Impactful faction standing: Navigating relationships with different factions (Union, Confederates, Native Americans) directly dictates your trading prices and safety.👎 CONS:Steep learning curve: The economic and combat loops can be unforgiving early on; a single poorly managed ambush can completely wipe out your progress.Combat loops get repetitive: After extended play sessions, random rail ambushes start relying on the exact same defensive positioning and patterns.📈 My Score: 7.5 / 10 (Recommended)A solid, deeply mechanical niche title that fully earns its Mostly Positive community status. If you have a soft spot for historical steam trains and tight economic strategy, this is an easy recommend! ---{ 7,5 / 10 }--- ☐ 1 ☐ 2 ☐ 3 ☐ 4 ☐ 5 ☐ 6 ☑ 7,5 ☐ 8 ☐ 9 ☐ 10

Bounty Train is an ambitious genre-blending title that combines train management, economic simulation, tactical encounters, and light narrative role-playing into a single experience set in 19th-century America. Developed by Corbie Games and published by Daedalic Entertainment, the game is less about pure rail simulation and more about life on the rails, where commerce, danger, and historical upheaval intersect. It aims to capture the romance and hardship of the expanding railroad era while giving players a surprising amount of freedom in how they survive and prosper. The story frames the experience through the eyes of Walter Reed, who arrives in America following the death of his father and inherits a stake in a struggling railroad company. What begins as a personal matter quickly expands into a broader struggle involving rival corporations, shifting political alliances, and the looming shadow of the American Civil War. While the narrative is not heavily scripted or cinematic, it provides a steady backdrop that contextualizes the player’s actions and gives purpose to the constant movement across the map. Historical tension seeps into the experience gradually, making the setting feel grounded even when the focus remains on trade and survival. At the heart of the game is the management of your train as both a business and a mobile base. You must carefully plan routes between cities, purchase fuel, manage limited cargo space, and decide which goods or passengers are worth transporting. Markets fluctuate depending on location and timing, encouraging players to learn trade routes and exploit regional demand. Money can be earned through legitimate trade, passenger transport, or riskier ventures like smuggling, each carrying different levels of profit and danger. These systems create a steady push-and-pull between efficiency and risk, where greed can just as easily lead to disaster as success. The world map serves as a strategic layer where nearly every decision has consequences. Cities respond to your reputation, affecting prices, mission availability, and how characters interact with you. Detours may lead to better profits but cost precious fuel and time, while staying on safer routes can limit growth. Random events frequently interrupt travel, presenting moral choices, ambushes, or unexpected opportunities that add texture to long journeys. This constant uncertainty keeps travel engaging, preventing the experience from becoming a purely mechanical loop. Combat and tactical encounters introduce a change of pace that reinforces the danger of frontier life. Bandit attacks and hostile encounters force players to defend their train using hired crew members, each with different skills and combat roles. These encounters are relatively simple but meaningful, as losing crew or taking heavy damage can cripple progress for hours afterward. Crew management becomes an important secondary system, requiring players to recruit, equip, and maintain personnel who are essential not only for combat but also for operating the train efficiently. Visually, Bounty Train adopts a stylized, illustrated presentation that prioritizes clarity and usability over realism. Menus, maps, and train components are easy to read, which is essential given the number of systems players must monitor simultaneously. While environments are not highly detailed, the art direction successfully conveys a sense of place and era, supported by atmospheric sound design and music that reinforces the feeling of constant motion and looming danger. The interface, though occasionally dense, generally succeeds in communicating complex information without overwhelming the player. One of the game’s strengths is its ability to generate emergent stories. A routine delivery can spiral into a desperate struggle after a poorly timed ambush, while a risky trade decision might fund a major upgrade that changes your entire strategy. However, this ambition also exposes some rough edges. Pacing can feel uneven, particularly in longer sessions, and certain mechanics may appear underdeveloped or unbalanced. The narrative, while thematically strong, often remains in the background and may feel thin to players expecting a more character-driven story. Additional content expands the experience, offering new missions, resources, and equipment that deepen the sandbox for players who want more complexity. These additions enhance longevity and provide more opportunities to experiment with different playstyles, though they do not fundamentally change the game’s core structure. As with the base experience, enjoyment depends largely on the player’s tolerance for hybrid systems and occasional friction between mechanics. Ultimately, Bounty Train is a game defined by its willingness to take risks. It does not fit neatly into a single genre, instead offering a layered experience where economic planning, tactical survival, and historical atmosphere coexist. While it may not fully satisfy purists of strategy, simulation, or narrative RPGs, it offers something distinctive for players who enjoy systems-driven gameplay and emergent storytelling. For those drawn to the idea of carving out a living on the rails during a turbulent period of history, it provides a challenging, sometimes uneven, but often rewarding journey through the heart of the Wild West. Rating: 7/10
Just bought it on sale for a buck. It's definitely worth that. Probably even $5-10.
OK so yes, it's a fetch game. That's mostly because it's a train sim first. You are tasked with picking up various items/people and take them somewhere. I mean it's a train game. You have to buy engines, breaks, boxcars for people and goods. It's pretty cool and a little historic. ( i haven't verified anything, but a lot of stuff sounds familiar) Second, it's a roguish rts shooter. When you are transporting goods, you will most likely be attacked. If you have hired or acquired certain characters they will fight with you to beat the bandits. You're in the train peaking out of windows and going between boxcars (ala xcom) and the bandits are on horses with guns and stuff. Once that battle is over, you're back to controlling your train. Sometimes there will be no bandits and you'll just be controlling the train the whole time. That part is pretty simple, however, you do have to pay attention to speed and curves. Most of your time will be spent looking at the economy (ex. buy materials for x, sell materials for 2x) and managing your coal (the fuel you use to get from a-z). You start on the East coast and buy paths West - where the real money it. Because OUT THERE BE GOLD! (I think) I've never made it... I'm apparently addicted to messing up and restarting.
Отличная игра !!!
Rating: This game is NOT intend to let you win, Good idea, poorly designed, mechanics and considered YOU'RE THE PREY. Everything is hunting you down and want you broke. 90% of random events are bad things.(if you don't trans weapons and alcohol, 80%) The background is Civil War, just background; your story is NOT RELATED with Civil War, FOCUS AT YOUR F__KING SHARE WAR. Some mission is intend to fail, or in the far place. You've saved 30k for new train? Toll stations and share events will drain your dollars dry; what a F__KING nice, you need earn money, but the game will try to put you at the edge of broken, Annoying random negative events to keep player busying at FARMING reputations, BUT rumor attacks ruined your reputation, more and more reputation damage. The Share War campaign, would force you win at 51% vs 49%, that's why many events are always against you and AI could have it shares with only rumor warfare, so F__KING FAIR! The battles are even more s__ts and unreasonable. Real railroad bandits are so kind, they didn't lead a platoon of troopers encircle you and made a lot of FIELD WORKS near railroad and counted where your turrets are hard to hit. AI build strong roadblocks and let your locomotive crashed at it, restrict your firepower. (because there is only 1 man at locomotive) Even your train could run through, dozens of curves awaits, speed limit is 10-30, consider you're driving a light rail train. In any battle, AI fire 1st, even you've aim artillery 1st, AI could give you 1 or 2 precise strike before their gun been destroyed. The 1st battle, have 7 enemies, 1 vs 7, in late game, 5 vs 25+, enemies have unlimited dynamites. All mail events you have to accept, if you ignore them, you'll lose share war very SOON. When you have around 10k money, toll stations will open everywhere, pay 4 broke or fight many armies, your squad have to deal with many platoons. Hidden events(most are toll stations) was fixed by table of random numbers The only kind in the game, is when you're the MOST WANTED and been busted, 60 days in jail, whoa that's really kind like Dem judges; not sent to shot or hang, what kind of this most wanted?? I'd happy to fight CS army(weaker than bandits) when entering their city, use their blood to build up my way.(The game is still friendly with Northern, it's almost unplayable if you want to side with Southern) Most of music tracks are playing at the title screen, but only 2 tracks in game, WTF! 標題有(都是曲,不要問我為什麼認的出來): 美國國歌 英國國歌/My Country, 'Tis of Thee Battle hymn of the Republic Yankee Doodle,
ПОЗД ЧУХ ЧУХ МГЕ МГЕ ПОРОВОЗИК
I got this on sale and it is fun but after 20 hours it falls off. As in its very repetitive and its just fetching or delivering, so I wouldn't recommend getting this unless its on sale for .99 cents like when I got it. I think it would be more fun if 1) we got the rest of the US to explore 2) have the gunman you higher have auto tasks such as turn on or off auto attack, repair, heal and put out fires so less micro managing on the train when an event happens 3) be able to buy another train equip it with gunman and send it off to runs for you wile you do other tasks 4) add a double header feature so you can pull longer and heaver trains 5) add more weapons you can buy for you and your crew 6) have auto targeting for gunmen that use mounted LMGs on the train 7) be able to have contracts with gunsmiths to acquire better weapon's faster at a cheaper price for running supplies to them 8) add more cars that can carry more freight or passenger's along with different types of passenger cars such as baggage, dining and combine cars for example 9) If you do help the south during the war make it have a serious impact that could ultimately the south winning the war and an alternate turn of events 10) add more engines that you can unlock that are stronger or faster so you can have a crew running a passenger train wile you run a freight train 11) add a bribe feature when smuggling contraband 12) have the time line go all the way to modern day so you can have more aspects of the railroad and when the US enters a war like WW1, 2 and so on have military contracts to run supplies for the military to win the war at the current time period
